Two weeks earlier my girlfriend and I were going to break up (sorry for my english). Because she was the only "reason" not to pierce my genitals, I decided to do it. I had a PA already, and I did't want an Ampallang or an Apadravya (nasty exams ahead...), so I chose a not too discomfortable piercing: the pubic.

I went to a piercing studio to buy the jewelry. It was about 10 dollars. A simple surgical steel ring. For the piercing I used a fucking big needle. I dunno what it was used for, but is seemed big enough for me. In Europe we don't use "gauge", but I can tell you that the ring was about 2mm thick. The needle was a bit thicker.
I've read everything about piercing on BME, so I thought I knew enough. I observed every picture to know the correct positioning. I decided to put it
I didn't use anything like Lidocaine, because I thought that a pubic piercing is not too painful. I was right. It just hurted a little. I marked the spots for the jewelry to go in and to come out. I haven't cleaned it before the piercing, because I think that in some studios people make too big trouble about cleaning piercings. I think that as long as you don't work or live in a dirty place, then you don't have to be afraid of infection. My PA healed in one week without any infection, and without extra caution. But a PA is an other story...
So back to the piercing. I just pushed the needle and it went through. I made is slowly, to pierce it straight. I inserted the jewelry, and went to the mirror. It looked great! No bleeding, absolutely! It was not placed perfectly, but I decided it was good enough. I went to the bathroom, and cleaned it. I bought an antibacterial SAFEGUARD soap. It is said that it is very effective. The active ingredient is triclosan.
At the first time I also used betadine. Some piercers say that betadine is bad for piercings, some say that it works well. Well I believed those guys who said its okay. But I haven't used it since the first time, because I've read that betadine may destruct scar tissue, so it is only good for the first disinfection. If you have a serius infection and you want to clean it well then you can use betadine. But it is not advised to use it regularly.
For about 3-4 days it was a bit more sensitive then it used to be, but afer a week it was totally normal. I mean if I just walked or things like that. But when I touched it it pas a bit painful. I had the opportunity to play soccer, but I declined... My friends know I love to play soccer so they were looking at me as if I would have said fuck you! I told them that I was injured :) Wel it was true :)
Now, two weeks after the piercing, it has healed very well. No discomfort. I used a hydrating cream sometimes. I cleaned the piercing 3-4 times a day. To my surprise, the piercing migrated to the right place! So now it is almost perfect :)) It is important to remove the crusties, because the ring has to be able to move a bit.
I think two more weeks and it will be absolutely healed. Fortunetely, we stayed together with my girlfriend, so I am going to test it in about a week :) It is said that a pubic piercing stimulates the clit if making love in the "standard" position. It is already very erogene for me although I can feel a bit of pain when playing with it.
I'm also curious about other peolpe's reaction in changing rooms etc...A pubic is in a very prominent place... No way to hide it! Most of my friend who knew about my PA said that I'm an idiot :) Some said wow. Some said its cool. My girlfriend actually doesn't like genital piercings, so I have to convince her in bed :) I'm sure it will work...
I hope my parents will never see my dick. I'm only 18 and both my parents are math and physics teachers... you can imagine how conservative they are... S my plans about tattoos and other piercings are doomed... Maybe a nipple piercing. I can hide that if I want. Actually my girlfriend hates male nipple piercings, so I don't hurry with it.
So anyone who is considering a pubic, go for it! It is not painful, heals quite fast and looks great.

p.s. I've sent some pics to BME, I hope they'll put it on the pages...
