To give the backstory, my wife is an acupuncturist. She's into the shows on surgery, autopsies, and any other medical type show/video/story she can get. She was inked first, back in '96. I followed suit in '97 with a custom piece in tribute to her. We've each been inked a multitude of times since, all in places normally not exposed to the public ~ primarily because of our jobs.

And again, my wife and I experienced piercing together. We got our navels pierced at the same time. I still have mine, she gave hers up within weeks as it wouldn't heal (and it hurt). A few years later I had my right nipple pierced. Since then I've been considering a more personal, risque piercing. I wanted a PA.
My fortieth birthday will be this winter. I'd love to say that age doesn't have anything to do with my decision, but it did. I wanted to live now, get myself back into some sort of shape, and really just feel excited about myself again. At the beginning of the year I started looking into piercers that I could trust to do the job right. One name kept coming up in my research - Brian Decker.
I looked into Brian's work, found out where his shop was, and got my self directions to his location. I was set. November went by. December shot by. January came to a close. I kept putting it off. Nerves. Did I really want to have to sit to pee for the rest of my life? Did I want to have someone get close up with my manhood? Could I really do this?
On the 19th of February, at lunch, I figured I would do it. I had all the information I needed, I had gotten the directions months ago. I just couldn't get out of work quick enough. I shot out of Nassau, raced through Queens, and made my way through Brooklyn to Pure.
* At this point I should go into great detail about the wonderful, sterile environment, the patience Brian has, the time he took to talk me through the process, or the overall skill the man has. He sat me down and spoke to me for about ten minutes just to calm my nerves. I found out that he would be leaving for Las Vegas and I was lucky I came when I did (that move has since been cancelled). But I could fill pages about how incredible he was and I'm sure you can find that all over the BME and elsewhere. It's all true, he is an artist. I look at my PA every day and I can honestly say it's the best work I've ever had. If you can get Brian to work on you, do it.
Forty five minutes later I was happily driving home, dying to show my wife. Brian had said there'd be a little blood so he put some gauze through the ring. Oddly enough my crotch felt wet. I worried that I wet myself without realizing it. ~ Yep, I can be that dumb at times.
I got home and my wife was asleep, she normally lays down when the baby goes down, so I stood in the living room watching a little tv with the hope she'd wake up for a glass of water or to nurse. She did and after she finished her water I let her know what I had done. She was stunned, to say the least.
We walked into the bathroom and I dropped my drawers to show off my new purchase. My wife's stunned expression turned to horror. That wet feeling I had earlier wasn't an excited 'mistake'. I bled through the gauze. I bled through my boxers. I bled through my dockers. My crotch was covered in blood and my piercing was still dripping, though now my penis was rapidly shrinking in fear and confusion. My wife fell back and grabbed the doorframe with one hand and covered her mouth with the other.
"What's the matter," I asked. "I though you didn't mind blood?"
"Not when it's coming from MY penis!"
I held my laughter until after I sent her back to bed. Glad to know she took the 'what's mine is yours' part of our vows seriously. And I do have to say that it was my own error - I read about getting a PA, but didn't pay attention to those stories that discussed how much they bled afterwards. Like I said before, this is my best piercing so far. I really consider it a work of art and my wife has come to appreciate it as much as I do. There was minimal pain during the piercing and almost none since. The bleeding stopped during the night and I only 'spotted' a couple of days afterwards. A week after the piercing I was able to have sex without problem.
