I have been reading about getting a PA for quite some time now but like so many people the thought of anything sharp near my privates did not appeal to me. In the past I had both my nipples pierced and eventually stretched to 4g. Unfortunately at that point they started to migrate and i had to take them out anyway because my son kept tugging on them anytime I picked him up. But the pain I had felt when they were originally pierced also added to my anxiety about a PA.

My wife had recently left for an extended vacation oversees and I was stuck at home because of work. Realizing that the bedroom would be out of commission for awhile, I thought now would be the perfect time to do it. Originally, I had read on BME that Unity Tattoo in Orlando was the place to go. So I looked up there address in the phonebook and decided to trek over to Winter Park. Unfortunately, I could not find it (I think they may be out of business). Fortunately, I have had some ink done at Inkredible Ink and remembered that they also pierce as well. They have two locations and since I live and work downtown I went to their shop at the corner of Orange Ave and Central Blvd. They have also been voted the best place to get ink by Orlando Magazine a couple years.
The shop itself is very welcoming. I am a professional so I cannot have tons of tattoos or piercings. But even though the guys who worked there would fall into your stereotypical tattoo crowd, you never feel out place because you don't. I have been there a couple times before and never feel pressured or stupid for asking questions.
When I got there last night, I immediately spoke to Josh. I told him I was thinking about getting a PA and he said no problem. I asked him how many he had done and he responded by saying "too many to count." I learned that Josh had been a piercer for 11 years and had a PA himself. After further talking, I wound up going with a 10g captive bead. He brought me in the back and explained the procedure (which was exactly as I had read about here several times before).
I should preface this by saying I am a wimp. I am afraid to go to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned so you can imagine what was going through my head when I got up on the table and lowered my pants. First Josh sanitized my penis and marked the spot where he would pierce. This didn't hurt at all. Then he inserted the receiving tube which as everyone has described was uncomfortable. This was definitely the worst part of the procedure. However, I wouldn't even say that it was uncomfortable more like it was stingy. Once he did that, he pierced and I was done. The piercing was 1/2 a second pinch. Before, I even knew what had happened it was over. There was some blood but Josh sent me home with a make shift bandage and I was fine. My nerves had made the anticipation of getting pierced far worse then the actually event.
My next stop was the local Walgreens where I picked up extra large condoms, antibacterial soap, and gauze which sticks to itself not to the wound. When I got home I immediately took a bath and began to get hard. Finally the bleeding everyone had warned me about started. I did bleed a lot but it did not hurt at all. And because i had been previously warned, I did not freak out or anything like that. I simply sat in the warm water for about 30 minutes until the bleeding had stopped. Then I had my first pee. The first urination stung a little but nothing painful. After that I put some gauze in one of the condoms, put the condom on, wrapped the it around my penis with some wound tape, and went to bed.
Sleeping was no problem, but today there has been some more blood. I have still been using extra large condoms stuffed with gauze to prevent leakage into my clothes. It seems to be working well. All in all I would say that the entire experience wasn't that bad. I have three tattoos and as stated above my nipples were formally pierced. But my PA ranks lowest on the pain scale among all of them. If fear of pain is the reason why you are hesitating on getting it done don't. Again, it really isn't that bad at all. And if you are in Orlando definitely go see Josh at Inkredible Ink. He was great!!!
