This is my experience with a fresh 12 gauge CBR Prince Albert piercing which is now literally 5 hours old.

My prior piercings consist of both nipples, septum, tongue,ears pierced with 8 gauge and stretched to 1/2 inch, all of which I still wear. I used to have my eyebrow pierced but removed it due to complications.
This piercing is something I've thought about on and off since I was 18, mainly for sexual reasons and little of the shock value of letting a select few people know what I had done. The common link between fear and pain in my mind was the main factor keeping me from completing it all this time. Something about needles sticking through the one of the most sensitive areas of my body was a little uncomfortable to think about.
The actual reason behind getting this done was to mentally reclaim some control over my life, as certain events in life had left me feeling lost and confused. So last Saturday while putting together ideas for tattoo's and thoughts of what to maybe pierce, I asked a friend for suggestions to which she asked if I had ever considered anything below the belt. I immediately came here to BME to start reading reviews. I also contacted some well-respected professional body piercers to ask questions about the proper gauge and healing time.
After all questions were answered and I had decided that I could do this. The next week was spent mentally preparing and convincing myself that I was going to make this happen. Halfway through the week, I contacted Michael at Big Daddy's who also did my last tattoo just to make sure that this was a piercing that he did handle and to find out the cost. The ring size and actual appointment were never confirmed though I had planned on Friday just in case there was bleeding or other complications. That way I could have the weekend to relax and heal.
I came home from work on Friday long enough to clean up, get the ring and my money together and make the journey to Ft. Myers. Upon arriving, there was already a group of customers outside talking with Michael but they left soon after. We proceeded to go inside and started to catch up from the last time I was in for a visit, talking about tattoo's and just shit general for about a half hour. Then came the subject at hand and also the point when my heart really started to beat. I told him I wouldn't pass out, just have a heart attack.
As he began to set up his gear and sterilize the ring, I went to use the bathroom. After getting out, he explained what was gonna happen and showed me all the pieces involved. He also informed me that he had his PA done as well which was comforting to a degree. I then dropped my pants and had a seat to let him see where he was gonna pierce. The receiving tube went in my urethra without a problem. That's what I had heard was the most uncomfortable thing but there was no pressure or pinching feeling at all. I then put my head back and proceeded to take deep breaths while holding my hands over my heart to keep it inside my chest. Somewhere mid-exhale I felt the slightest thing, kind of like getting hit with a grain of sand. I thought he was just positioning the needle against my skin but he said "Ok, it's done."
Surprised, I looked down to see him remove the receiving tube only to be staring at the 12 gauge needle sticking out the head of my penis and said "that's the most painless thing I've ever done." He let me sit there and collect myself for a moment while the adrenaline subsided before he asked if I was ready for him to put the ring in. I agreed and I watched the ring slide in effortlessly which was then closed up and ball locked in place.
He was amazed at the lack of blood as he swabbed and didn't even clean off a full drop. He then let me wrap the head comfortably with a paper towel and placed a ziplock bag over that lightly held on with a rubber band, and let me get dressed.
I was in no hurry so we talked a bit longer before I headed home. By the time I made home, I had only dripped 2-3 drops of blood on the paper towel which was a big relief to me. I didn't even experience any uncomfortable urination, or minor bleeding since removing the bandage.
I am very pleased with this piercing as well as the professional service from Michael. Literally painless and something I wish I would of done sooner. Something I would recommend for anyone wanting one, but worth having it done by someone with experience. I can't wait to go back and gauge mine up a bit.
