I have thought about getting a genital piercing for a long time. I have long admired the people of BME and their courage to go through with their piercings.

About a week ago I found myself in Wisconsin Dells with some friends. We had joked through the day about getting the girls tattoos, and I had mentioned that I would get my dick pierced. While they thought I was joking, I was serious.
Later in the evening the girls were dead tired from a long day chasing children at the water park and went to be early. My friend and I decided to go out, I told him I wanted to get pierced.
So we headed to the only tattoo shop in the Dells. I had long wanted to get a apadravya, but decided since this was my first piercing to go with the lesser prince albert piercing.
Talking to the piercer on staff I indicated that I wanted to get a 10 ga or 8 ga PA. She said that they only had 12 ga jewelry. Okay I thought, I can always gauge up later.
So I sat in the chair and she told me what she would be doing. Using her pliers she opened up the ring and prepared for the piercing.
Before I knew it time slowed and I felt the white hot pain of the hole being made. There was a quite a bit of blood. As she started to close the ring back up I was a little concerned because the two sides didn't meet. I would later confirm that the ring was badly mis-shapen.
Of course I didn't realize it until I was already home (4 hours away). So I started to look for a local shop.
I found Raiden Tattoo online and really liked their site, and proceeded to get in contact with Patricia the piercer.
I explained my situation and said that I wanted to change out the jewelry and gauge up from 12 to 8. I told her that I was unhappy with the current ring and that the person who had put it in had done a bad job bending it back together.
Not a problem she told me and offered to order me a new ring if I wanted. I politely declined and ended up ordering a 8ga titanium ring with a 6mm ball from an online store.
I was pretty anxious for it to arrive and was excited when it came in today. I called and she was able to get me in right away.
The shop was pretty cool actually. Recently opened (3 months ago) it was spacious. Very upscale. I liked that it wasn't dominated like so many shops with wall after wall of stock art and was excited to see that they specialized among other things in Japanese style tattoo.
Patricia smiled at me and bid me welcome, I was happy to see that she had piercings (always a good sign in my book). We went back and I started to explain my situation.
She was a bit taken back when I told her the piercing was only a week old. She warned me that the guaging would hurt but she would take it easy so there wasn't any tearing.
I really liked her friendly personality. A guy getting pierced by a girl can be a bit awkward but she made me feel completely at ease. Her setup was antiseptic and clean.
When she removed the misshapen ring I couldn't believe how bad a job the other pierced had done. She explained that a lot of times they will open them up to make putting them in easier. She however said she did not.
I'll admit the ring hurt like hell coming out, it was pretty cheap and the ends did not have the best finish.
Thus began the tapering process. She took her time, explained that she was not going to go too slow but not too fast. She would tell me when I would feel pressure (and pain). And to be honest it really was not that bad. I'll admit I sort of enjoy a little pain so that could have accounted for some of it.
Before I knew it the tapering was done and the new titanium ring was in. It looked AMAZING and felt 10x better than the old ring. She went over after care with me and answered some more cleaning questions I had.
With a smile and a hug I was out the door. Patricia did an amazing job, I am in her debt!!
