I wanted to share my experience and the reason why I had a piercing, for other people to read and to help them if they are considering have a piercing.
I am a happly married with two small children, and I work for the police. As with most people I was stuck in the rat race work/home/work/home. I had always fancied a piercing but was afraid of the pain and what people would think.
I decided to look into the piercing and find out as much as I could before I made a deceision. I looked at other people's experiences and it didn't seem to painfull. It also seemed to enhance sex life of those who had it done. I discussed it with my wife who was all in favour of having it done and seemed to like the idea!
I then went to a few different studios and decided on having it done at Dragonink Llanelli. I spoke with Lee who was helpfull and friendly and the studio seemed very clean and I arranged to have the piercing a few days later.
First impressions were important to me and I wanted somewhere that looked clean as the last thing I wanted was an infection and for me have to remove the piercing even before I could test drive it!
I was nervous but also excited about the piercing and could not wait to see what it would look like. The day arrived and my wife and myself went to the studio and spoke with Lee. He showed me the ring he was going to use, which was sealed in a bag and sterile. I then signed the relevant form and paid.
Lee then showed us to the room behind the counter where there was a doctors type couch. He explained what was going to happen. There was also a small silver table with the tools needed on top of it. Again these were all in sterile packets.
Lee then left the room whilst I removed my underwear and jeans.I then lay down on the couch with my wife standing next to me. Lee returned back into the room and placed a piece of paper above my genitals. Lee had also placed latex gloves on and was marking out where piercing was going to go on my penis.
It helped that I could not see what was happening. I then felt uncomfortable as Lee placed the tube/needle down my penis. I then felt a really sharp pain as Lee pierced my penis. It only lasted a secound, and then I felt another sharp pain as the ring was inserted.
It seemed the ring was tightned and then it was all over. I looked down at my penis and it looked great. My wife's eyes seemed to light up when she saw the piercing and agreed it was great.
Lee gave me aftercare advice and wrapped up the piercing in gauze.
I got dressed and walked out of the studio. It was a bit of a strange feeling and little uncomfortable. It was not painfull but I was concious that it was bleeding and I was trying not to aggrevate it.
It bled quite a lot on the first day. I chanaged the dressing two/tree times a day. I was informed that it might sting when I went to the toilet but I found I was okay.
I kept it wrapped in guaze for three days and cleaned it three times a day with salt water solution.
The bleeding seemed to stop on the second day but if it was knocked or had an erection it caused the piercing to bleed.
It has been three weeks since having the piercing. I still have to clean it with the salt water for the first six weeks.
The advice was not to have sex or masturbate for at least the first two weeks. I had sex after two weeks with a condom which is advisable for the first six weeks. It was a very strange feeling for my wife and myself but it has helped spice up our sex life.
My wife is enjoying the piercing and I am glad I had it done. I have had no problems so far with the piercing. I would advise anyone who has thought about it to have it done, as life is to short to have regrets.
I have told a few people of my piercing. They stated they would never have it done as it would be to painfull and can not believe I had it done.
Before I had the piercing I thought the same as them but I am glad I did it, it was not as bad as I imagined
My wife is now considering have a piercing so will see how that goes.
