When I was 18, I LOVED piercings. I had several at that point already, including 2ga. earlobes, my right eyebrow, my septum, and my labret. However, there was one piercing I thought I would never get, a PA. there was no way in hell I was going to let someone go near my groin with a needle.

I was going to get a PA, and he was going to get a dydoe. He figured a dydoe looked less painful.
Well, a lot of time went by, and nothing ever happened. We were both pretty much jobless and broke most of the time. I eventually got a job, which only lasted 3 months before they layed a bunch of people off, including myself. However, because I was laid off, I was able to collect unemployment. Most of the money went to other stuff I wanted, CD's, new jewelry for my piercings, and even Venoms.
Then, one day, out of the blue, I decided it was time. I called up the place I was going to have the piercing done, and they said they were open til 8:00 PM. It was 6:00 PM now, and an hour drive. But I was determined that I was going to get it done. So I called up a friend, and asked if they would do me a favor, and bring me to the shop to get pierced, and in return, they could watch me in pain, and laugh at me if they wanted to. They agreed. It was on.
I got to the shop about 15 minutes before closing, which was when the piercer said he'd like me to come in, so I could have more privacy. he pulled a curtain around so no-one from outside the shop (there were always people hanging out outside the shop for no apparent reason) could see in. he got everything ready, and asked if I was ready. I said yes, even though my dick was screaming NO!!!
I felt the needle catcher slide in my urethra...ow. not too bad though, just a little stinging, and slightly uncomfortable. then, he said he was going to count to 3, and pierce it.
1...2..3.. poke.....that's it? "yep, now I'll take the needle out and insert the jewelry" holy shit! it hardly hurt at all! it was like a slight pinch, and that was it. Hell, getting my ears pierced was more painful than that! the piercing went great, when he slid the jewelry in, it didn't really hurt much either. but then came the hard part.
the piercing didn't really hurt, but walking did. I wasn't used to having all that weight hanging from my dick, and it swung around a lot when I walked, so I left the store walking like I had just rode a horse all day. When I got home, I had to try to walk as normal as possible, as I still lived with my parents and didn't really want to tell them about my new piercing. (they eventually found out though, when I was in the hospital and had to have surgery. My mom was in the room when the nurse told me to take out my earrings, which I did. then the nurse asked if I had any other piercings, to which I replied "umm....one, which my mom doesn't know about yet"...ahh good times, but I digress)
the healing went awesome. my piercer told me it would probably burn the first few times a pissed, but it didn't, it healed really fast, and never had any problems.
Then, a couple months after I got my PA, I noticed there was a little gap between my skin and the jewelry. It turned out the jewelry was so heavy, it was stretching out the hole. So I bought a new 8ga circular barbell, and put it in. It went in great without even having to stretch it anymore. Eventually, I was able to get a 6ga in just by letting it stretch on its own.
Then, about a year/year and a half after I had it pierced, I made the decision to take it out. I liked it just fine, but I couldn't wear it during sex, as it hurt both me and my girlfriend. So I decided to take it out and add it to my then growing list of retired piercings. Today I have no piercings left, but a few slight scars, some holes in my ears which I can still almost fit an 8ga into, and a little hole where the PA used to be, for reminders.
By the way, the hole hasn't closed up. Even after about 4 years, it still dribbles when I take a piss.
