Well, after 6 month of wanting, thinking, and denying this 53 year old man got a Prince Albert piercing. The wife thinks I'm nuts, but is kind of curious claims there will be no sex with the ring in but I think over time she'll give in.

Let me explain how I got to this point. About 2 years ago while, searching the net for "royalty" got a picture of a PA on BME. Man I though you got to be kidding, just the thought of having something like that increased the pucker factor by 10. Body piercings were for the young and crazy (weird). Besides I'm 53 years old and Rush Limbaugh is a liberal as far as I am concerned. I'm about as far from a piercing "freak" as you can get. I was so much against poking a hole in your body that I even made my teenage daughter take a belly ring out when I found she had one done without asking when she was in high school. Bet she would be mad if she knew her old man got his dick pierced with an 8ga 3/4 inch CBR (8mm ball).

Once I found BME ,I began to read some of the accounts and experiences, do some research and came to the conclusion that I might like an Apadravya. A spike thru the dick kind a thrilled me, yes it was sadistical. Can you imagine hanging something like that out when it is 40 below zero when you are elk hunting in Colorado. Frost bite comes to mind, may try it some day

Well my mind began to obsess about having a ring in the ol' johnson. Discussed it with the wife and she nixed the idea. When you have been married for 20+ years you tend to work with your spouse in the old give and take wants.. This was 6 month ago. I got over if for a while but then the mind began to fantasize about it again, but this time it became an obsession . I bought the needle, the CBR , and insertion tube and almost make the poke last month. Chickened out when the insertion tube was to big to go in the urethra.

I reread some of the articles from the Denver area and saw a couple of testimonials from piercings done at the Twisted Sol and did some research on the web. Called Alicia and talked to her about what I was thinking on sizes and costs and decided that if I had it done then I would use her shop. She said she would do that size and gave me a estimate but would prefer I came in to discuss particulars. I asked how long from in the door to out, and was told 15 minutes at the most.

Last week I finally got up the courage to discuss it with my wife. Again she was not fond of the idea. I explained that I had to give it a try and it was something I wanted to do for myself. This did not change her mind, but bless her, she said she could understand when you needed to do something. She did insist I have it done professionally, I'm thinking, hell I can tear a car apart and put it back to gather, I can stick a small needle in my pecker. I've had bigger cuts from my pocket knife.

The wife walks up to me this week and hands me cash and says if you are going thru with this here are the funds to get it done right. Boy was she right about using a professional. I carried this around for a couple of days trying to get the guts to do it. Had to be downtown today and was close to the Twisted Sol shop so I stopped in.

Boy what nice people, here is this old geezer wanting a radical below the belt piercing and they are professional to a "T". Man I'm nervous, the counter girl was 20 years younger and I thought how embarrassing, but she was a pro. She acted like old guys did this every day. After answering questions she want to know when. I said now, I told her what I wanted, the size and gauge and she gave me some paper work to fill out, took the money. I was welcomed as a drop in and since they were not busy at 3:00 pm so there was little waiting or time to think about it. My mind was made up anyway but this made it easier.

Let me tell you this shop is immaculate, when you walk in you enter a reception area, the tattoo rooms are off to the side and separate from the entrance area. The piercing room is at the back and very private. Clean does not begin to describe the entire shop, this place is immaculate and orderly. The people are friendly and professional.

Well to make this almost as short as it seemed. Once the paper work was done and the money exchanged hands Alicia lead me back to the piercing room. He throughly explained the procedure, and after care instructions. Gave me some sea salt for soaking and a pamphlet with healing information and her contact information.

We discuss up sizing later to get the placement right and Alicia begins to explain what she is doing. As many of you have read the procedure is drop trouser, lay back and relax. Right! She tells me to take deep breaths, as she works, this helps to settle the nerves. Finally says take two deep breaths and she would pierce. Boy that gets your attention, about like sticking yourself with an ice pick, but the pain is short lived. A little discomfort as the jewelry is inserted and then the ball was installed. She had to use pliers to get the ball in.

I asked about losing the ball and she assured me this would not happen. After seeing her install the ball I believe her. Asked what do I think. Man its great. Shinny and new and no pain or blood. She did not even have to wrap it. I asked about washing with antibacterial soap and she said to not use soap since the climate is so dry in Denver and it would tend to dry the piercing out and make it harder to heal. Suggested using only a saline solution twice or more a day (use a shot glass to warm the solution in the microwave, No don't boil it).

Three hours later no pain no, blood, can't wait to show it off to the wife. Wonder what my hunting and fishing buddies would think if they knew? If I had know about this in the 70"s I would have had it done. Lost 30 years.

If you are in Denver I highly recommend Alicia at Twisted Sol. All you experienced dudes out there remember the old saying " Smile make 'um wonder what you are up to". This will do it. To quote a shoe maker, Just do it!
