To be honest, until about a year and a half and ago, I had never even heard of a Prince Albert, let alone considered one. I had gotten my ears pierced several years ago and that was the extent of my experience with body modification. Over the years, I became more aware of different body mods and started looking on the internet; that is where I first heard of a Prince Albert.

At first, I was taken aback by the very thought of having someone stick something through the head of my penis, but the more I looked at the pictures and read other people's experiences, I became more intrigued with the idea of learning more about this piercing. Of course, I could only focus on those few "horror" stories instead of all the positive experiences that others were writing about. Eventually it hit me that if so many guys are getting them, they can't be that bad... in fact, there must be something really good about them.

At this time, I also became more aware of nipple piercings and thought strongly have having this procedure done; I figured if I could survive that, I could handle a possible Prince Albert in the future. So, after a short time I went to a local tattoo and piercing shop and had them done by their head piercer, Benjamin. He put me at complete ease and the procedure went off without a hitch. At this time, I started asking him questions about the Prince Albert piercing and he assured me that it was a safe, as well as "fun", piercing to have. After talking with him, I was satisfied that he knew what he was talking about and he would be the piercer that I would have do the procedure.

I continued to think about the piercing for about another 3 months and finally decided to go in and get it done. After a short wait, I was sized up, the equipment was sterilized and the procedure began.

Benjamin had me undo my pants and lie back. He told me this wouldn't hurt too badly; just a strong pinching feeling. Unlike experiences I had read about, he did not use a receiving tube. To be honest, I was kind of glad due to the fact I had read that to many people, that was the worst part of the piercing. As for the pinching feeling; it was a little stronger than that, but I am proud to say I was able to take it without cursing a blue streak. After a pain that lasted about a second, he told me he was about to put in a curved barbell. Before I knew it, I was looking down at my cock with a big piece of metal through it. He pierced me with a 10 gauge needle and immediately stretched it to an 8 gauge.

I was fortunate that I only had a couple drops of blood over the rest of the day and that was it. After reading some stories, I was very concerned about this. Luckily, it wasn't an issue. Nor did I have pain when I urinated. The only thing I haven't been able to do is to urinate standing up. While sitting down all the time has been a big change after all these years of standing, it hasn't been too bad. It's something you get used to. However, a lot of people don't have this problem and are in fact able to stand with no problems.

After three months, I went in and had my Prince Albert stretched to a 6 gauge captive bead ring. Now, another three months later, I am going in to have a 4 gauge circular barbell put in. I can't wait. I never thought that the size would matter, but I guess it does. Just when I seem satisfied, I feel the urge to get it stretched to a bigger size.

As for the obvious... sex, it's great. I waited about three days before I masturbated with it. Don't get me wrong, I gently played with it (which was great), but held out for three whole days to actually take it for a test drive. I don't know how others are affected by theirs, but mine has made my cock much more sensitive and, whether it's all in my mind or from the piercing, my loads take longer to come and are much more impressive. Let's just say, I wouldn't change a thing. Neither would my partner.

I couldn't be more happy with my Prince Albert and would encourage anyone thinking about it to go through with it. It's a commitment, but one that I think you'll be glad to make. Don't let the (few) negative stories throw you. Prince Albert piercings are very satisfying and one rarely develops problems.

Now, I'm considering other body mods; possibly a ladder.

If you are near Corpus Christi, Texas, I highly recommend Benjamin and Forever Art Tattoo and Piercing.
