On a trip to Las Vegas last weekend, August 25-27, 2006, I decided that the time was right to get something that I had wanted for a long time, a PA. I went into a couple of shops, including Diversity, and left wondering if I was really going to get my PA. One shop did not do them at all, Diversity was a little pricy, $100 plus $25 for the jewelry, and one other had music playing so loud that I had trouble yelling to the guy what I was there inquiring about.

I won about $250 so I decided that Diversity was destiny for me! I went back later that evening around nine thirty after playing some more cards and working on my courage. Finally, I decided that I had wanted this for so long that it was time. There wasn't anything to the procedure, so let's go!
Diversity has several shops in Las Vegas. I was staying downtown and the shop I went to was on the strip under the Stratosphere. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful and courteous and asked me several questions, making sure that I knew what I was doing and that I did not have second thoughts. I asked about how long the wait was as there were several people there, also how long they had been in business, and if there was anything else that I should know. He said that piercings would be just a couple of minutes, they had been in business, I think he said eighteen years, and said I knew more than most about what I was going to have done. The couple behind me asked what I was getting and I told them. They congratulated me and asked if I had any other piercings. I don't. He said he has several but can't go that low on his body.
Thoroughly relaxed and excited at the same time, I paid him for the service and was introduced to the young lady that would be doing my PA. She was very nice and spent several minutes explaining the procedure and making sure that I knew what I had paid for and was asking her to do. I think her name was Michelle, I it bothers me I don't remember so I need to call and find out so that I can send her a quick note thanking her for a great job..
She asked to see my penis and after a quick inspection, said everything looked great and needed a couple of minutes to set up. I climbed up on the table and sat there as she laid out the sterile equipment and got organized. She said she doesn't work in that store a lot so it was taking a little longer to find everything. She gave me a piece of paper to read about how to clean and care for my PA. We talked about healing time, cleaning, and any possible problems like infections. We then discussed size of the PA and I wanted as big as possible, hoping she would put a six in. The guy up front had given her a twelve and I suggested that something larger than that would make me much happier and may not do it if a twelve was the only choice I had. She agreed and said she had no problem inserting an eight, but had reservations about the six for the first time. She has been doing PAs for five years so I told her that I had confidence in her decision. She said I could stretch to a six or even larger about a week after this one is healed. The healing time would be on average about ten weeks.
When she was done setting up the equipment and ready, she told me to lower my pants and underwear. I laid back on the table and put my hands behind my head holding it up as far as I could so I could watch. It's not every day that a beautiful woman pokes a needle through your manhood and I wanted to see the procedure. That was part of the allure of having it done for me. She started by looking at the underside of my penis and said that the PA would be a lefty, which meant it would come out to the left of the ridge of skin on the underside of my penis. She lifted my penis and showed me what she meant. There was a vein on the right side that would cause more bleeding if she accidentally went through that vein and pointed that out too. Next she marked the point with a marker where the PA would exit the underside of my penis. The whole time she is talking about what to expect as far as pain urinating, spot bleeding, and pain. Her phone rang and she said that she needed to take the call since one of her friends had been hurt in an automobile accident. The call was short and I have an innate ability to block conversations out, so I can't tell you what was said. She did tell me that her friend should be ok.
She started to sterilize the underside of my penis and I think she did the urethra also. She then said that she was going to do it and to take a big breathe and then exhale. She had everything in place and I felt a small pinch. She pushed I assume the needle, farther into the hole and then grabbed the PA ring. She then said to take another breathe and exhale and I felt another small pinch. She put the ball in and said that she was done. She showed me her work and then peeled her glove off right over my penis and as I held it she taped the glove to the base so that no blood would get on my clothes.
I tipped her $20 because I was so happy with how things had gone and to let her know I really appreciated her work. On the way out of the shop, I stopped and talked to the couple that was behind me at the counter. He asked me how it went and I said "great". I told him that if I would have thought of it, they could have watched. I apologized that I didn't think of it. I said it would have been really cool to let someone watch.
I have had no pain at all urinating. I went to the room and showered and put the glove back on after looking at my PA for about an hour. In the morning their was a little blood in the glove, but for the day I took some tissue, rolled it up and put it between my penis and PA. There was a very small amount of blood and discharge at the end of the day. I didn't wear a glove to bed and there was no blood on the sheets the next morning. The only thing I have had to work on is how to urinate standing up as the stream is affected. I think holding the ring to the side has fixed this issue. I clean my PA three times a day instead of the two reccommended as Michelle said being clean is never a bad thing. It is midnight Wednesday night, four days after my experience and I am so happy. It is the most amazing thing that it makes me feel more confident, stronger, and my self esteem has sky rocketed. I would recommend every man getting a PA, it is an incredible feeling.
