Around July of 2004, I found myself seriously contemplating getting a piercing, working on my tattoos or doing some sort of body modification. At the time, I was dealing with a lot of depression from a very rough break up and hated everything from the past, included myself. I had always wanted to get a piercing, but never believed I would have the courage to do it or deal with the reactions of others when they found out that I had made a change to myself. At the time, my parents along with the rest of my family didn't even know about my tattoos. Now, I don't recommend doing any sort of mods to try and heal or conceal a scar from the past, because it doesn't do that, but it does give you a defining point in your life in which you changed. I had always been fascinated with the Prince Albert piercing and felt that it was exactly what I wanted. I had made mention to a friend that I was interested in this and he expressed that he had the same interest. At the time, we jokingly made a pact to get the piercing in two weeks time. Both of us taunted the other, expected the other to back out, fore we were both nervous. Two weeks past and we found ourselves, along with his girlfriend, in Halo signing all the required paper work and paying for the upcoming piercing.

Shortly, we were escorted into another room. The door was closed and our piercer started to prep his equipment. My friend expressed that he wanted to go first and so he did. As soon as our piercer was ready again, I sat down in the chair. He prompted me to pull down my pants, lay back and try and relax. I lay back into this cold, blue vinyl covered chair and nervously rubbed my hands together. From the ceiling was a hanging decoration which gave me something to stare at while my nervousness increased. I could hear the piercer pulling a fresh needle out of the package. He told me to try and relax. First off, he made a mark with an ink pen, to show where he was going to pierce. I leaned up and gave him my approval on the spot he had chosen. After that, I lay back and he told me that has going to insert the receiving tube. This wasn't painful at all and actually calmed me a lot because I had heard that it usually hurt. Shortly after, I knew he had picked up the needle and was getting ready for the piercing.

I was instructed to take a deep breath and exhale. I did so and on the exhale, he pushed the needle threw. The pain was rather intense, but very short lived. After that, there was a good deal of discomfort as the jewelry was inserted and the CBR was closed. After that, I was handed some paper towels to pack my groin with and then I put my pants back on. I smiled and gently walked back over to my friends. We then left and chilled at their house for a while. Both of us were rather sore and luckily his girlfriend was more than happy to take care of us for the night.

The next morning, I got home and spent that whole day taking care of myself. The piercing bleed a lot and I wound up sitting naked on a chair with a towel under me to catch the blood. I was a little concerned, but felt no reason to worry just yet. The first time I had to pee was kind of interesting. Everything got a little warm at first and as soon as I started to pee, I was greeted with a burning sensation. The next couple session got progressively easier. I took great care in cleaning myself in the shower that day. I took to showers and used a strong anti-bacterial soap on the piercing. It was relieving to finally clean the blood off of everything and I got to see what my new piercing looked like. It put a huge smile on my face.

That night, I slept on two towels with one over me. Luckily, in my sleep, the bleeding subsided a lot, but the towels did help. After two days, the bleeding had completely stopped. I went into work on Monday morning, and although I had to move gently every now and then, it wasn't a big deal. Within one week time, the piercing was no longer sensitive to movement.

A couple weeks passed and the piercing took its final shape. Most of the redness had dissipated and there was no soreness. I was originally pierced with a 10g needle. The piercer laughed when I told him that I could never see myself going to anything larger than a 10g. He laughed because he said that I'll probably start gauging in no time. Sure enough, six weeks passed and I gauged myself to a 8g Titanium CBR. It was a sweet looking ring and the gauging didn't hurt. Sadly, I quickly found myself wanting to go larger. I bought a cheap 6g CBR and shortly followed it by a final 4g SS CBR. I was very pleased and enjoyed the size and weight of the ring.

A problem arouse within a couple weeks of the 4g CBR. Either I gauged myself to quickly or the weight of the SS ring was to much, because I started to develop scar tissue around the base of the piercing. The scar tissue grew quickly and within 6 weeks, I had developed a "bb" size amount of scare tissue. I returned to Halo and was instructed to switch to a Titanium ring for its reduced weight. I did so promptly. I was worried for a while after the switch fore the scar tissue did not decrease. One day, while taking a shower, I was cleaning myself and noticed that there was no scae tissue left. It had simply fallen off as my body had rejected it. The piercing looked great, had great color and was perfectly round again. I believe that it was a combination of gauging to quickly with to much weight that started to initial scaring.

As of six weeks ago, I have gauged once again to a 2gauge Acrylic CBR. I purchased the acrylic because I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a good ring that I might not keep. Contrary to what I've been told, I have had no reactions or 'break downs" because of the acrylic. I don't plan to keep it long, but it did put some of my suspicions to rest about acrylic. This 2gauge ring may be my last gauge, but 0g is starting to appeal to me as a true final gauge. After that, I believe I'm going to start having problems with the urethra closing around the ring completely.

With all that said about the piercing, I want to share some third party experiences. Everyone who has seen it, even if they are not accustom to this type of piercing, like it. A couple women that I've been with had nothing except great comments to how the ring felt inside of them. On a personal note, it greatly enhances the level of sensation you get during an orgasm.

For all of those who are looking into this piercing, I highly recommend it. Do it when you're going to have some time off for a couple days. If I had to, I would do this piercing all over, no questions asked.

Thanks for your time!
