I am currently married and have two tattoos and a pierced ear. I found out about Prince Albert piercing a few months back on BME. Over time I grew to want a PA pretty badly. Knowing my wife would not go for it, I subtly brought up the subject and just as I thought, she didn't want anything to do with it. After a brief discussion, she "well, if that's what you want ..."

Next thing I knew I was looking for shops in the area that would do the procedure and searched the Internet for the procedure itself. I looked hard and long and I came across a PA piercing kit on eBay. Didn't take long to whip out the credit card and order it. While waiting for it to arrive (which seemed like an eternity) I began to look for instructions on how to do the procedure thinking that I might try to do it myself. A couple of weeks went by and the kit arrived.
It was on a Friday when the kit arrived and I opened it with much anticipation. It did not look that intimidating, so I decided I was going to do it myself, but I would wait until Sunday. Sunday came and went and I remember going to sleep Sunday night thinking that I should have done it. I was still a bit unsure about doing it myself.
Monday night after work rolled around and once again I opened the package and looked it over. All of the sudden I had the sudden urge to get it done. I went to the bathroom behind closed doors (my wife was not home yet) and I took a small towel and covered my legs from the anticipated bleeding. I examined the kit and had a bit of trouble deciding how I was going to go about the procedure. The kit did not come with instructions. After a few more moments, I had a plan and began to push the receiving tube into my penis and pushed out where I wanted the hole. I took the needle and pushed it from the outside in -- right on the other side of the other metal tube. I went rather slowly and with steady determination the needle began to move into my skin. I still remember the adrenaline and excitement that was running through me as I pushed slowly and deliberately into my skin. After a few minutes ... it was in!
I removed the needle and began to push the captive ring into the hole. This was much harder than I thought and I was beginning to bleed. The blood made pushing the ring in hard since I could not see the hole and the ring became slippery. The next thing I knew I was panicking a bit as I had this horrible feeling that I wasn't going to be able to get the ring in the hole. I stopped for a minute and tried to stop the bleeding. After a moment I regained my senses and began to push the ring through the hole once again. My sheer determination paid off as the ring finally went through! What a rush! What a relief! I could not believe it! I was stoked!
All I had left to do was to put the bead on the ring, which once again proved to be a difficult task. I was still bleeding, so I had a hard time getting the bead in (and I did not have a pair of pliers). Nonetheless, I was able to get it on the ring and I was done! I didn't stop to check the ring position, as I had to hurry to clean my mess and put gauze around my penis so it could start healing. I kept the gauze (covered with a condom) on for day #2 as the bleeding decreased to drops of blood. Day #3 I didn't bother with the gauze - I only wore the condom to catch any blood drops and today I used nothing. The first two days I sat when I had to urinate.
After a few days, I graduated to standing. I never would have thought that I would get one, let alone do it myself. It is healing nicely and I am stoked about it!! I am happy with the placement of the hole and I am already looking at larger gauge captive rings for stretching ...
The Saga Continues
After two weeks I had ordered 10, 8 and 6 gauge rings. I was amazed at how easily an 8 gauge ring fit and I found it more comfortable than the 12 gauge. After about three days I put in a 6 gauge. It took a bit to get it in and was a bit painful at first, but I have had it in for two days and it is starting to feel better. Today I ordered a 4, 2 and 0 gauge and being the experimenter that I am, I am sure that I'll be at 0 gauge within the next month.
I am totally satisfied with this piercing and the experience that went along with it. It feels special that I did it myself, but I think I'd tell someone to think about it before they did it themselves. I recommend this piercing to anyone and everyone - you don't know what you're missing until you have one!!!!
