First off I must say that without BME I would have never considered getting a genital piercing, so I'm pretty lucky my girlfriend ended up showing me this site, or else I would never know how awesome getting a PA would be! I had both my nipples pierced a few months ago and I love them and I decided it was time for me to get something else.
At A Glance Author Trevor Contact trev0r_h@hotmail.com When A week ago Artist Rob Studio Addictive Tattoo and Body Piercing Location London Ontario I did a TON of reading on BME and decided on a PA before even bringing up the idea with my girlfriend, but when I did she seemed happy and said she knew this was coming because piercing is so addictive! This made me even more excited and I wanted to get a bit more info before I went looking for a place to get it done. I read pretty much every single PA experience all the way back to 2003 mainly because finding experiences about un-circumcised guys were few and far between. So after finding a few and looking at those I had all the info I could get it was time to find a good place to get a piece of metal through my penis!
I wasn't to sure about the place where I got my nipples done because it was just a big room with chain link fencing and covers on them dividing little rooms, this made me iffy about that place. I pulled up the yellow pages online and searched for all the tattoo and piercing shops in my area. There were a few I recognized but I ended up calling Addictive Tattoo and Piercing first. The girl that answered the phone told me that Rob did all the genital piercing and that he usually works from 5-7, and I could stop by and have a chat with him and check the place out. The next day I called to make sure Rob was in and he was so I headed over there with my girlfriend who needed to go downtown to get some cd's anyways. It was really hot in the studio but the smell and appearance of the place was really clean and well maintained. I met Rob and we went into his room and I asked him questions that I based on all the stuff I gathered online from BME. My first question was "How many PA's have you done?" His answer, "enough to lose count." This really put me at ease because mainly I just wanted to find someone with a lot of experience first and I asked a few more questions like what gauge he pierces with and stuff like that. He said he usually pierces with a 12g and uses a 12g CBR. I asked if he could taper it to 10g right away and he told me that wasn't a problem, but he just needed to see if they would be getting in any 10g jewelry the next day so I told him I would call back and see if they did.
I was really bummed out the next day because I had to go to a funeral visitation. It really sucked obviously because of the funeral, but also because I couldn't call and check if they had the jewelry in. (I was really getting anxious at this point, I wanted it so badly!!!)
The following day I was pretty much watching the clock tick away, it seemed to be taking forever for 5pm to roll around. I busied myself by playing some world of warcraft and reading stuff on BME, 4:45... 4:50... 5:10... finally! I grabbed the phone and called up Addictive, the same girl picked up the phone and I asked for Rob and a few seconds later he got to the phone. I asked him if they got a 10g CBR in and he said yea so I asked him when was the soonest I could make a appointment and he said that he had nothing booked for today so if I could make it in before 7 I could get it that day!! I was really happy/nervous/excited now, so I called my girlfriend and told her. She also seemed pretty pleased and agreed to go downtown with me to get it.
I haven't eaten all day so I sat down with the family and had a meal then headed downtown. When we got there we had to park a ways away because parking downtown really sucks. We walked to Addictive once again and went upstairs. The rest of the procedure mostly everyone knows so I'll keep it short. I filled out the forms while he said he was getting his room all ready. My girlfriend wanted to go in with me but I wanted her to wait outside so she did, I thought it would just make me more nervous with someone else there.
First he talked to me about aftercare and went over a pamphlet highlighting important parts about sea salt soaks and cleaning (he recommended using Spectro-Gel and that was cool because I already had some at home) and then went on to how the piercing is going to happen. To me this seemed like 10 minutes but I really have no idea how long it was. I was still pretty nervous. I checked out all the stuff he had set up and saw the receiving tube, it looked like it was 2g! This didn't bother me to much because I already read so much online I knew what to expect already.
Now for the actual piercing.
I laid down he went to work cleaning and marking, which I checked out and agreed on the placement which was slightly to the right of the little nerve bundle there. Now it was time for the receiving tube. I didn't even feel it go in which was really good I guess because a lot of people have said that was worse then the actual piercing. Took a deep breath then exhaled and in went the needle which was ALOT less painful then my nipples had been but there still was a slight pinch for about 1 second. He asked if I needed a few minutes before the taper but I just wanted it over with so he went on with that. The 10g CBR went in easily, clamped shut, and I was the new proud owner of a PA.
It didn't bleed at all after the initial poke with the needle but he wrapped it up with gauze and put a glove over it just incase. When I got home I checked it out and still not a drop of blood. Later that night it was time for the dreaded first pee and I was not looking forward to this at all. I decided to take the first one sitting down and holy shit did it burn and left a small stinging sensation after it was finished. I had expected this so nothing new really, wrapped it in some new gauze and went to sleep. When I woke up I went to take a shower and checked the gauze and there still wasn't a drop of blood. This was pretty awesome because I read about some people that bleed for a few days after and I didn't really want to have to explain how blood got on my boxers or sheets.
The morning after piss – first one standing up!
I was in the shower and it was time to take my first piss standing up!! Since I was un-cut I eased the skin that's around the bottom hole up over the ring a bit so there wouldn't be any leaks from that and the ring was at the top of my urethra. Then I moved the ring sideways a bit with my left hand so the stream wouldn't shoot right into it. Used my right hand to aim and released. Man did it sting just like the first one. The piss shot right out like a rocket... like when you try to piss after sex and you have a semi-wood but the stream stayed straight and there was no shower head effect.
In the afternoon I ended up going bowling. The piercing didn't bother me at all... but I am quite completive and get on the nerves of the people I'm playing with (my girlfriend) which ended up in a kick to the leg, which missed and hit a bit higher then she intended I guess... right in my crotch! This only resulted in like 1 or 2 little drops of blood and no pain, but it was still kind of a funny mistake seeing as it was only the day after.
My only concern right now is that the diameter of the ring is too big for me and I don't see how I could have sex with it after everything is healed. When my penis is limp the foreskin at the bottom pushes on the ring so in turn it is pushed up so it's pressing against the top of my urethra instead of sitting on the bottom part of it. I send an e-mail to Rob and asked him about this and he said that as long as it didn't cause me and real discomfort I should just let it heal for a few weeks then try switching out the CBR. I want to get a smaller diameter 8g CBB because I heard it feels a lot better so I'll update again when this happens.
All in all I love this piercing. The way it feels (no sex yet. Only been 4 days now) and the way it looks. I'm really happy I got it done and already find the comments people have pretty funny when I tell them I have a PA. I can still pee standing up into a toilet easily although the stream shoots out a lot faster, it's still not hard to control. I think this might be due to being un-cut but I'm not positive.
Like pretty much every other experience on BME my advice to you if you're thinking about getting a PA is this: GO GET IT DONE!!! You won't regret it.
