Studio SubQ piercing
Location Sacramento, CA
Well, for the purposes of this experience, my name is Rohan. Not kidding! Anyway, this is my experience on getting my Prince Albert. My first piercing experience was a tongue stud, which I sized up to a 4 gauge. I had wanted another piercing for a while but didn't know what I wanted, so I did a search online for piercings, which brought me to the two sites that would help me in my decision. BME and Tribalectic both gave me photos and personal experiences which swayed my decision towards a PA. But, to say the least, I wasn't to sure about a needle going through my penis, so I did a lot of research. Ultimately making my decision that I was definitely getting a PA.

I live in the Sacramento area, so I was calling around and asking different studios, where would be the best place to get it done, and who had the most experience with that particular piercing. These calls led me to SubQ in downtown Sacramento. When walking into the studio, I felt relaxed. The studio didn't look nearly like I had imagined, it was almost like a doctor's office, but not nearly as uncomfortable. It was also very sterile, which is what I was looking for the most, seeing as I am in the medical field. Anyways, I went up to the counter, and introduced myself, and told the piercer what I was interested in. Luckily the piercer was the owner of the studio, which made me even more comfortable and confident about what I was getting myself into. After discussing the piercing I told him that this is what I wanted, so he took me to one of the piercing stations, which by the way, also somewhat resembled a doctors office. I went over the basic procedure with him and compared what I had researched with the way he pierced. My research had told me that a mini catheter was placed in the urethra to open the pathway to the pierced section. In way this is true, but he didn't like the term catheter, which is understandable. But it was the same concept. The idea is to expand the urethra slightly enough to direct the needle into the desired place. From there it is just slip in, and fit the jewelry.

After dropping trough in front of this guy is when my heart started to beat like mad. The statement "What the hell am I doing?" kept running through my head. He calmed me down a bit, and said it'll be over really quick. After taking quick measurements, and lining up the piercing, he told me to relax, and take three deep breaths, which is common with piercers. But instead of going on three, he went on one, and surprisingly it didn't hurt nearly as bad as I thought it would. Next, he warned me of a little pinch for the jewelry, and it was over! I had made it. For sanitation reasons, and bleeding control, he calmly said, "I'm going to grab, and wrap the glove around your genitals." Which I was cool with. He advised me to leave the glove on for at least the rest of the night. He also said, that when I cleaned it the next morning, I could also put a condom over it instead, which ultimately was more uncomfortable. The unfortunate thing about downtown Sacramento, Is there is limited parking, so I had a ways to walk. Walking was very uncomfortable, and when your walking funny downtown in Sacramento, you get interesting looks and stares. Getting in the car also took about five minutes slowly adjusting and re-adjusting myself to ensure the most comfortable position.

The whole piercing was finished in ten minutes and only ran me 40 bucks. With the aftercare supplies provided, I cleaned the piercing morning and night for a month. The bleeding stopped the next day. I had some problems sleeping that night as you might imagine, and also I had to wear briefs just in case of any leakage of blood. The was a little difficult for a man to do when he has worn nothing but boxers since he was a little kid, but I conformed to it. There was some discoloring, but it went away after the first week. I was completely healed after a month and a half. The only downside, is relearning to pee standing up in a way that it won't get all over you. To this day, I can't pee standing up when it comes to a normal toilet, but I have no problems with a urinal. For the first two to three months, I strongly recommend sitting down while you pee, because even at a urinal you will leak all over you unless you know what you are doing, but on the other hand, the higher you size it the less that problem occurs. It was pierced at a 10 gauge, and I currently have it at a 6 gauge, which is suitable. My next adventure will be turning the PA into an Apandravya, but that is a future story. Hope this helped!
