So two days ago I was frustrated with myself. I was frustrated that I spent so much time thinking about sex, masturbating, and not getting things done that I really wanted to do. I felt that I needed a change in my life. I was feeling particularly good and bold, so I decided to do it. I asked at a local tattoo parlor and he directed me to what he thinks is the best studio in the city.
I went to a very reputable studio here in New York called New York Adorned. Of course I was nervous, and I was a bit frustrated when the piercer wanted to watch wedding march on 2nd Ave for a few minutes while I waited. But I think he sensed my unease and impatience and he then lead me back to the piercing room.
Tyler was a true professional. He explained to me that the jewelry I was getting would probably not set off the metal detector, but it would set off the hand wand. I decided that if it set off the detector I would be honest and say I had a genital piercing, and they could inspect it if they want. He explained what was going to happen, gave me all my options as far as jewelry, and made me feel really comfortable. I don't know if he was gay or straight, but he had no nervousness or unease with the procedure. I dropped my pants and got up on the table, closed my eyes, and he began.
First was the sterilization and the marking right under my glans and to the left of the ridge of skin on the underside of the glans. Tyler explained that he preferred to go through one side of the ridge of skin because it was a lot less to pierce through. He explained this so that I wouldn't be disappointed that it was slightly off center when he was done.
Perhaps the most uncomfortable feeling was the insertion of the reception tube. It made me feel like I needed to pee, and was uncomfortable, but it was nothing that I couldn't handle with a few deep breaths. Tyler then told me to take three deep breaths, and I knew he was going to pierce on the third breath. It happened, and it really wasn't that bad. Sure it hurt, but not any worse than stubbing my toe or hitting my funny bone. He inserted the jewelry (10 gauge ring) and we were done. I was lying on the table in an incredible state when he asked me if anything was wrong. I told him 'no, I actually feel pretty high." It was a great feeling.
After getting down off the table I got to have my first look in the mirror. It was beautiful. I was immediately glad I did it and had no regrets. Tyler could tell I was very happy, and I proved it when I tipped him $10 because I was impressed with his services.
After standing up the bleeding began, and that's been the worst part, but not too bad. The healing has been OK. There has been absolutely no pain, but the bleeding is a bit much. The first night I woke up with a very bloody crotch twice. Since then there has been some bleeding, but now in the third day it's just a few drops here or there. I haven't touched it except when cleaning it, but when I do clean it the feeling it gives me lets me know that I'm really going to enjoy playing with it, and having my partners play with it, when it's healed.
As I said there has been no pain. My first piercing through my ear cartilage was so much more painful. I was sore for days. But that is not the case with the PA. The only thing that hurts is if there is some clotted blood on the ring and it needs to move. But that's nothing that a good saline soak won't cure.
And the change in my life? It's happening. Because I can't masturbate for at least a few days I'm doing some projects that I've been meaning to do for a while, like writing, reorganizing my closet, and planning my new gym workouts. All in all the PA piercing has been a great experience.
