Well, Im writing in this forum as I have finally gone and got the Prince ALbert done. It has taken nearly three years anyway!!!
At A Glance Author piercedpaul Contact pauldiver@hotmail.com When A month ago Artist Tribe Studio Tribe, Gothenberg Location Gothenberg, Sweden I had been into tattoos and piercings for many years (probably about 12 years now). With regard to piercings my first was my nipple. And that fucking hurt I can tell you. That was about six years ago. Then followed my eyebrow which wasn't too bad and then my nipple again that was just as painful as the first time.
During this time my girlfriend was always suggesting to me to get the prince albert done. I liked the idea but after the pain of my nipple I immediately assumed (wrongly of course) that having a piercing done on your penis would be ten times worse in the pain and discomfort stakes.
Well three years passed and every few months my girlfriend would bring the subject up again and I would say 'yeah honey, great idea'. I would sit and think about it and then I would dwell on what it would be like during the procedure. The stupid thing is I didn't actually seek any advice on how it actually does feel from professional piercers or anybody else who has it.
I had been working in Sweden for a few months and traveling back home every few weeks. The last time I went home the subject came up again and I was totally into the idea this time. I had no doubts about the pain, I thought what the fuck I can deal with a little bit of pain.
As soon as I got back to Gothenberg I went on the hunt for a good reputable piercer. A work mate of mine who lives in Gothenberg did some digging for me and found that the studio with the best reputation in Gothenberg (even Sweden so Im told) was Tribe. One quick phone call later and I was booked in for the piercing on an afternoon after work.
During the few days up to the appointment I had no doubts about it and didn't even feel nervous. On the day of the piercing everything was good up to about thirty minutes before the appointment. I started getting nervous then!! I was dwelling on how the needle would feel as it went in and when the ring was fed through. I was starting to compare it with how it felt when I got my nipple pierced and I started getting a touch of cold feet about it. In hindsight I was being a bit stupid but at the time your mind wanders a bit.
About ten minutes before the appointment my girlfriend gave me a quick call and gave me a good dose of encouragement!! I had to do it. I went to the studio and was taken to a nice seating area while all the equipment was sorted for my piercing. The studio looks great, very clean and with totally seperate piercing rooms.
I was taken into the piercing room and the guy who was to pierce me (sorry never got his name, maybe he did tell me but I was pretty nervous now). The room was spotless, very hygenic with the equipment laid out ready for the procedure. I was taken through the complete procedure, and we also talked about how I was feeling and he told me about his experience when getting his PA done. This had a good relaxing effect on me and I felt good again about the idea of the PA.
This was it, time to get pierced. On the piercing couch I was told by the piercer what he was doing at each stage of the preperation of the piercing. The thing which concerned me more than the needle was the needle sleeve!! Fuck it looked big and that was supposed to go down my uretha!!! No way!. He asked if I wanted to know when the needle was going in. I said no and just said to get on with the piercing.
So here goes. I felt the needle sleeve go in. It was more uncomfortable than painful and I was actually bracing myself for more pain but none came. He told me to relax a bit and I actually did relax. I then felt this sharp pain that lasted for about a second or two. It wasn't intense pain, just like a pinch. I felt a pulling sensation and then he said thats it, all over. I couldn't believe it. I looked down and there was the ring in place. The pain was infact the needle but I didn't even realise it. I was incredibly surprised.
As the ball was put into the ring and tightened and cleaned up I was gushing about how amazed I was that it wasnt as painful as I thought. After this I was taken through the after care procedures and what to do if Im worried about and if I think something has gone wrong. I was given medicated lotion soap for washing the piercing too. The guys at Tribe are great, they make sure you know what the procedure entails and how to look after the piercing over the weeks to come. Total professionals and nice guys with it.
I left the studio on a total high. Rang my girlfriend straight away and talked to her at about 100mph about the whole thing!!! There was no pain really in the hours after the piercing. All I can say is though, do not drink loads of coffee or alcohol without having loads of water too. When you go for a piss it does hurt a bit. Cleaning the piercing is no problem too and with hardly any pain. You may get some pain if you sleep on it at night and the ring ends up being pulled in the wrong direction. Apart from that though I've had no problems at all.
Anyway that was over a month ago now and Im back home and the girlfriend is well impressed. Im totally over the moon about it. If I had known that it would have been this easy I would have got it years ago. If you have doubts about the PA, DON'T!! Its the simplest procedure and the results are fantastic.
