I have wanted a Prince Albert piercing for about ten years now, but I haven't gotten too serious about it yet, mostly due to my wife saying: "IF YOU PIERCE THAT THING YOU WILL NEVER PUT IT IN ME AGAIN" that is, until I met JOHN THE WAND MAN through one of my customers.

You can find JOHN THE WAND MAN at "http://www.princeswand.com"
He has also built a NEW WAND FORUM at: "http://www.princeswand.info"

After talking extensively with John, and reading some articles in BME, I began looking into things a little deeper.

The other day I called a respected piercing shop in the area, and drilled them silly with questions. The head piercer, who was very knowledgeable on genital piercing told me that he had done his own P.A., and it wasn't that big of a deal.

At this point I began entertaining the idea of doing the piercing myself. I have several body piercings, most of which I have done myself. However, after piercing my own nipple, which I might add, is the most painful piercing experience I've ever endured, I was a bit hesitant, but was still determined to get it done. I also liked the idea of not paying someone else 50 bucks to shove a needle through my cock, when I could do it myself.

Well, today I finally got the balls to do it. My wife had gone to a trade show and wouldn't be able to talk me out of it. I was preparing my piercing tools when it dawned on me that I didn't have a receiving tube to catch the needle. I was determined to finish what I started before I could change my mind about it, and being the cobbler that I am, I finally came up with a plastic bic pen tube, cut it at a 45 degree angle, and smoothed off the edges. (I REALLY DON'T RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE ELSE).

I walked myself through the process several times while I prepared myself mentally for the task. Unfortunately my wife had taken most of my jewelry stock with her, and I was unable to find A 14 ga. ring in the right diameter, so I was forced to settle for A 12 ga. captive ring. This meant I would have to stretch a fresh 14 gauge piercing to nearly 10 gauge which was not a very appealing thought considering the area in question, but still I intended to take advantage of this rare occasion of solitude.

I looked the piercing area over, and pushed a 0 GA. taper in my urethra to find the right placement. I marked the spot, checked it, and then wipe the mark back off. I repeated this routine for about an hour before I found a suitable spot for the piercing, barely making it between two small veins. I then inserted my my homemade receiving tube, which was probably the most uncomfortable part of the whole process, and lined it up for the piercing.

Here was my moment of truth, I gently poked the spot just hard enough to make it bleed, and then wiped the area with alcohol. I went to push the needle through, but somehow lost my alignment with the tube. After several failed attempts to re-align the tube, I became frustrated and pushed it tighter to the flesh inside, giving me an outlined view of the tube.

I started the needle in slowly, for fear of missing the receiving tube, and felt a sudden jolt of pain, but nothing like I had expected, so I pushed it the rest of the way through. surprisingly it didn't hurt nearly as bad as most piercings in general. I immediately inserted the taper, and pushed it about halfway through before I had to stop from the pain.

I took the needle off the taper, looked the piercing over, and smiled a big shit-eating grin. At this point i still had not seen any blood which was a pretty good sign that I did it right. That wasn't so bad, I told myself, but I wasn't done quite yet.

I put the end of ring in the back of the taper, took a couple of deep breaths, and starting pushing. It hurt like hell, but once the taper was through, and the ring was in place, the pain just stopped.

It started bleeding now, mostly from the inside, but not as much as I thought it would have. I closed the ring down, put the ball on it, wiped the blood away, and just stood there admiring my handy work for at least ten minutes before stuffing my shorts with paper towels and getting dressed. It really puzzled me that it wasn't hurting at all, but I wasn't complaining one bit.

(I don't recommend that anyone attempt this piercing themselves, without some basic piercing experience, and a proper understanding of genital blood flow characteristics.)

Well, thats my story and I'm sticking to it! I would like to thank John The Wand Man for the encouragement and info, without which I still would just be debating this issue. I finally have my prince albert piercing after ten years, and I love the way it looks and feels. I really enjoyed sharing this experience, and hope I didn't bore anyone to death with it.
