Okay, well it all started out when my girlfriend of two years broke up with me for one of those guys that acts like he's a skateboard punk...yeah. I was a little down and I wanted to do something for me because when I was with her that is all I did was appease her. So I was thinking for about a month trying to figure something out and I thought to myself, "hey, I can go get some cool piercings" since before I had been scared of even hospital needles so I wasn't sure if I wanted a 10g through my best bud. Anyway, I decided to at least go check everything out.

So I started to do some research online and I read a lot here and I figure what the hell, why not just go all out. I told a couple friends what I was about to do and they all thought I was just full of shit because I'm not the type of person that does something like this. None of my friends believed me but I still managed to talk one of them into going on the long drive with me. Honestly I was more nervous about having to go to the dentist the next weekend than I was about getting my penis pierced. Weird eh?
So my friend and I get to The Hole Look in Anchorage...a three hour drive...and I went in and I told them what I wanted so they showed me the jewelry and asked if I wanted a bent barbell or a captive ring and I told them I wanted to go with the captive ring. They told me the price and gave me the paperwork so I started filling it all out and gave them my license for ID. I looked around and the studio was very clean and they had their licensing on the wall so I was feeling good about the place.
Then I met Blake and I talk to him about for about 10 minutes and then he showed me the room where I was going to be getting pierced and it was amazingly clean. I haven't even seen doctor's offices this clean before so I was pretty impressed by this point. He showed me everything he was using, he had to of changed his gloves at least 4 times before he even touched me so I felt pretty good about it. He explained the procedure and the insertion tube, which I wasn't too fond of, then he told me about how he would put the needle through then the taper and then the jewelry...then I heard what I was expecting, he said, "drop 'em." I was expecting it, but it was still a little awkward hearing it. I laid down on the doctors table and he showed me the insertion tube, my eyeballs grew about ten fold, and then he put it in. It wasn't that bad but it was an uncomfortable just cause I never though anything would be going IN that hole ever. Then he told me to take some deep breathes and on my exhale he stuck it though...it hurt quite a bit, I've felt worse pain as far as how much it hurt, but I've never felt a more uncomfortable pain. The pain only lasted about 3 seconds tops and then it was over. I looked down at my wounded soldier and saw my new 10g captive ring. The moment I saw it I fell in love, it's just amazing in how it looks. Then he explained all of the aftercare to me and gave me a packet with all the info and some extra gauze and rubber bands. I tipped him $20 and went out and paid for it all at the front. Urinating was kind of weird. I was a little scared honestly at first just because I didn't know what to expect, but then I realized...sooner or later right? So I went and it wasn't that bad, it stung a little but nothing that hurt.
For the first like 8 hours...it bled and bled and bled, I was starting to think maybe something was wrong or maybe I had the wrong size jewelry or something. But the next day it was fine and it only had very, very little bleeding, only a few dots every few hours.
Overall, I'm very pleased with how it all turned out. Looking back I don't think I would have changed my mind or anything. Urinating is a little awkward but I'm getting used to that by now. I think if you are considering having this done, get it, because it doesn't hurt that bad for very long and in the long term it's definitely worth it. It's only been a little over a week so far for me and everything seems to be healing nicely. I have to admit that since I had this done I've kind of become addicted to piercing. Since this I've had both of my lobes pierced with a 10g needle and I had 8g plugs put in them and I also had my sternum pierced with a 10g needle and I had a 10g bent barbell placed in it. I'm not sure if I'm done for now or not. I think I'm going to let all these heal and then I'm going to have my tongue or my nipples pierced.
