My PA decision was something I had been toying with, along with what I would be called a scrotum at the top of the sac and base of the shaft. I was wrong as I would latter reveal. Well, I mentioned the idea of getting a piercing to my wife who was all game and surprised. I was coming back from a long trip back east and said to her, I may just get the piercing done while I am away. She was really for me doing that but the trip didn't go down the way I had hoped, and so when I was getting ready to board the plane and say good-bye, she asked if I had gotten IT done. Nope, schedule worked against me the whole trip, I explained as I started towards the boarding gate. She quickly said I would have time in Seattle to get it done, if I wasn't chickening out. Sure, see if they are open, I replied said I love you and goodbye. Then I got on the plane.

When I made the first stop of the flight I got a text message with the time, location and piercer's name, Dave. I texted back: OK, I can do that if the plane lands on time. It did and then I had to make arrangements to get from the airport, to my hotel, drop my gear, and then catch a bus to Seattle. Got a taxi and GOD LORD THAT WAS SCARIER THAN THE PIERCING! Trust me when I say it was a hell of a ride. I honestly thought as he was speeding downhill on 65th, ok my insurance is paid, but explaining why I was here in this part of Seattle may be a bit hard if I survive the crash.
I made it into S2TN at about 10:15 at night. I mentioned that I was there to do maybe two piercings and that my wife had made the arrangements. Now, I was in everything but my suit jacket when I came in. The woman at the counter grinned when I mentioned my wife making the arrangements and asked what are you getting? The grin went serious when I said I would probably get a PA and a scrotal. She was then very quick to get the forms and permissions. She told me that she would go and get Dave and get him in the room prepping. I filed out the forms, then looked about, and all the while my heart is racing. Please note, I had never been in a piercing studio before so it was a new experience.
Dave greeted me and asked me to follow him. Now Dave is well pierced. We got into the piercing room which is very clean, clinical almost except for the art murals on the walls. Dave asked what I wanted to do, and I explained that I wanted to get a PA and also a scrotal. He asked about the scrotal, and I tried through jet lag, a racing heart, and a bit of a pre-rush to explain what I was wanting. He cautioned me against a scrotal saying the rejection rate was fairly high and I should go with the PA and see how it heals before going with a scrotal. I was more than willing to defer to his expertise.
He then asked me to drop my slacks and get on the piercing table. Now the table arches slightly so your parts are at the right level for Dave to work on. I was a bit hesitant to sit there naked and had left my shorts on. He grinned, explained the procedure and then said, now you have to drop those too while pointing to my underwear. I am sure I turned crimson and then did as he suggested. He told me to lay back and relax.
He then began inspecting the head of cock and looking it over. He took a small marker and made a mark. Looked again, and made another mark. He then asked about size and I said I wanted to do 10 gauge with a captive ring. He said, great size and great jewelry for starting the piercing. He then explained how he had to put in the receiving tube, that most found that to be the most painful, then he would warn me about when he did the piercing. He got the right jewelry and showed it to me in the sealed package.
So, I tried watching him from the angle I was at, gave up and looked at the ceiling. The receiving tube sucks – no other way to explain that – think overly large catheter being pushed into you. When it was in, Dave asked if I was doing ok. I said that it burned and he explained that that was normal and that many of his clients thought that the receiving tube was the worst part. He then said that he was ready if I was.
My mind was still a bit in denial that I was doing this, but I said, sure lets do it.
He picked something up, the needle in its package, broke it open and then told me to take a couple of deep breaths. Then as I let out one – I felt it.
It was a quick, intense, sharp pain that was over almost as quickly as I felt and registered it. My hand had tensed and I was holding my breath – more from surprise. I just had my cock pierced! Dave asked if I was ok. I said sure and I lifted my head. There sticking out of the head was a very long needle. I leaned my head back down. Dave looked over his work and said it was in the right location and looked like a very clean piercing. He then asked if I wanted to do a frenum. My mind was a bit addled with the jetlag and the head rush mixing in equal parts and I said um no no that is ok. He shrugged and then said he needed to put in the jewelry.
He did that with one quick motion and told me to sit up. More head rush as I looked down on myself and saw the stainless steel captive ring pointing back at me. What do you think, he asked? I really like it. It is great, thank you was all I could say. He smiled and then talked me through the aftercare. What to soak, what to avoid, buy condoms if having sex in the near future but to wait for a week or so. Great information and I really appreciated the insight.
We headed to the counter, I paid and tipped him twenty percent, good advice from others on BME. I did the same a month later when Phish at S2TN did my Lorum, thanks to BME I figured out what exactly I had failed to explain to Phish. I headed back to my hotel room, got inside, took a cellphone picture and sent it to my wife who was as shocked as I was about what I had done.
A month has gone by, and I still like the piercing and it's new Lorum addition that I got last week. Healing has been fine. I continue to do the sea salt soaks. Not getting the crustations on the captive ring as I did the first half of the month, and Phish said it was healing just fine when I got the lorum. Guys, I should note that not only do I like it, but so does my wife and that would be my reason for recommending doing this to anyone who asks!
