I have been a fan of piercing and tattoos for a long time, but being from a fairly conservative area in the Midwest, and working in an industry not exactly known for "wild looking" employees, I have had to keep things pretty subdued. A few tattoos on my back and upper arms and getting my nipples pierced were about all I could dare to try, or so I thought. That is until a friend told me about BMEZine and all the ideas held within.

I was browsing the BMEZine one day and saw it, the one piercing I was waiting for, The Prince Albert, in all its glory. I had just broken up with my girl friend (the possible reason to want to inflict some pain upon my self? We'll leave that for the shrinks to decide later) so I knew that I would not be getting any for a while, "The perfect time to let it heal." I thought.
I went to the shop, talked to the piercer, asked about the price and looked around. It was very clean and sanitary, everyone was wearing gloves and I couldn't find anything that made me nervous at all. As we talked he answered all my questions, including the sizing and type of jewelry to use. He suggested a captive ball and nothing over a 14G. I asked him about larger sizes, to which he replied that this piercing was so easy to stretch that he never went larger for the initial piercing.
He had me choose my jewelry and we went to his table and had me "drop trou". I was a little nervous at the thought of having a needle shoved through something I have loved my entire life, but I just remembered how nice my nipples turned out, and I relaxed, a little bit. The piercer walked me through the entire procedure, from marking the spot to inserting the catch tube to stop the needle. It was a little disconcerting to see a long metal tube sticking out of my dickhead, but it didn't last long. Then he said to take a few deep breaths, I tried to look at what he was doing, but he had his body in the way. A quick sharp pain and it was over, the needle was in. As far as pain goes, it hurt more than my left nipple, but less than my right, for whatever that tells you. A little fiddling with the jewelry and I was done. He put some gauze around it and reviewed the care and feeding instructions again and I was out the door after paying $60, plus a generous tip. The worst part was the gauze falling off on my walk to the bus stop. Here's a hint for anyone who is thinking about this, get someone to drive you or drive yourself, riding the bus with a bloody crotch is not easy to explain.
Taking that first piss was something I do not want to do again, but if you have ever had the old fashioned kind of STD test, then this sensation will be familiar. With some simple aftercare and a little time, it healed great and in record time, two weeks and it was ready for prime time. I have to admit I wasn't a huge fan of the 14G captive ball that I had in originally, but switching to a 12G was easy and pretty painless. The best thing I can say about this piercing is that it is very easy to go up in size, I am already up to an 8G and will jump to a 6G very soon. I don't know how large I will end up going, maybe 4G, maybe 2G... I just don't know yet.
Everyone who has seen it seems to like it, and I have already talked to a bunch of guys who want one now. My new girlfriend was a little apprehensive at first, but now she loves it almost more than I do. It just seems to rub her the right way. The "showerhead effect" that other people have warned me about is pretty negligible, in my case anyway, but by using urinals and staying close to them I don't have a problem in public, then at home I do have to sit down, but oh well. I guess the only problem I have with the whole experience now is what do I get done next? If any of you have any ideas, please let me know, when I write in to tell everyone about my experience, I'll even let everyone know whose idea it was. Thank you all very much.
