This web site was such a help during the time I was considering and researching getting a PA that I had to return and add my story now that it is over. I must also give shoutouts to The Hole Look in Anchorage, AK. I was kind of in shock at the time so I don't remember my piercer's name (sorry) but the staff and facility are top notch, clean, professional, and highly recommended by others I spoke with when I was looking for a place to have my piercing done. It has been exactly 6 days now since getting pierced. Many people, including my piercer said that the most uncomfortable part of the procedure would be having the receiving tube inserted into the urethra. BS! Anyway, after nearly 6 months of research and careful consideration (5 of which were spent trying to ignore my intrigue with having it done) I showed up and announced I was there to get a prince albert. After some quick paperwork I was whisked back to one of the procedure rooms, asked to drop my pants and lay back on a remarkably doctors office like table.

My piercer carefully explained the entire procedure completely first, then began, explaining each step again along the way. He lubed the receiving tube and began inserting it into my urethra. There was some mild pinching sensations, maybe a bit of burning like urinating with a bladder infection. I thought to myself if that was the worst part, this thing is going to be a breeze! Boy, was I wrong. Next came the piercing needle. When the needle actually broke through was the worst. I liken the sensation to slowly and deliberately squeezing a grape until it suddenly gives out, exploding in a barrage of pulpy mash. The pain at that instant was an incredible searing white hot jab. But amazingly, it only lasted a few seconds and it was over. As I lay there trying to recover from the intense adrenaline rush he announced the jewelry was in. I opted for a curved barbell as I could foresee more after care issues with getting a ring. I can always switch up to a ring later after the initial healing phase is passed. Anyway, I was given my after care instructions and he gently wrapped the new piercing and covered it with an exam glove, rubber banding it in place.

There was very little blood at first, but, as fate would have it I had to embark on about a 45 minute drive right afterwards. I remembered as I drove off one of the stories I read here about a guy who also had little initial bleeding, but on the way home in the car he ended up ruining his underwear, pants, and the seat of the car, if you get my drift. Anyway, I began to feel some warm sensations and was terrified that I had begun bleeding horribly. As soon as I got to a store I stopped in and painfully waddled to their restroom to check things out. Yep, there was a little bit of blood but nothing serious, so I bandaged back up and went on my way. That night was the worst of all, when I woke up the glove was full of blood, but it held and I did not mess up the bed. Each night thereafter was a bit less, and by the third day I let the prince go "commando" in my underwear. It was a bit too soon I think, I made it through the day but after work I headed for the mall to hit the tanning bed. Half way to the tanning store you know what. I was bleeding again, and wondered what damage I might have done. Amazingly throughout all of this there has been no pain what-so-ever. Just the occasional reminder that I have a fresh new hole in the end of my penis and a piece of metal sticking out the end.

Last night I had my first full on erection while I was still awake, and another today. That may sound silly but I am still quite worried it may start to bleed again, that is my worst fear, but, so far all is well. I intend to have a go at masturbating maybe tomorrow, so will see how that goes. I have heard of some people who were able to do it just a day or two later but I want to make sure I have given things plenty of time to settle down. Another thing I have noticed with the curved barbell is I am still able to stand up to urinate, although I have only done so maybe three times since getting it done. As long as there is pressure behind the stream it simply splits around the ball and rejoins on the other side into a fairly normal stream. I learned that it is when the pressure lets off towards the end that things can get interesting. The first attempt I hit my leg a couple of times, but nothing serious. Now I just stand a bit closer to the urinal just in case.

Well, I hope my story helps someone else who is considering getting a prince albert. I highly recommend it. My only regret is that I waited so long before getting one. Now, I just have to break the news to my wife and hope she likes it as much as I do!
