I never really was in to body mods until my girlfriend Kari got her Monroe done. I didn't mind it at first, and it sort of made me wonder of what I could do to myself. I never did anything normal in high school, and I started asking kids what I should get done, with "Your penis!" as a normal response. After looking up some stories on BME and going to my local piercing shop and asking questions, I decided to take the step and sign up for a PA on my 18th birthday.

I mean, how could you pump it up so much and not deliver? May 30th rolled around, and 18 years of my life had gone by. My older sister had gotten a tattoo when she turned 18, and that was not looked upon as "good" by my parents, so I decided a hidden piercing would be best. I drove around all day thinking about it. I just graduated from high school, could finally buy cigarettes, and had graduation money to spend on a piercing.
I didn't eat or drink anything all day(bad mistake) and it was actually my first piercing. 3:30 finally rolled around and I found myself, nervous as could be, talking to Justin about it. He told me to come on back to the piercing room and he talked with me for awhile and calmed my nerves. I mean, it's my first piercing, I've never even got my ears done as a kid. He allowed my girlfriend Kari to watch if she would have liked, and she let me hold her hand. I undid my pants and slid them to my knees. That was probably the most embarrassing part because I was still somewhat scared of being nude around other people. He said it was no big deal, he's done many before, and most guys always say something like "Oh, must be cold in here." I laughed, and then the fun began.
He started by inserting a Qtip lubed with cream to help numb when the receiving tube came in. This was probably the second most painful part, aside from the healing. He allowed it to sit for about 2 minutes while it worked its magic. I looked up (I was lying in the dentist like chair) and saw a Qtip sticking out of my penis hole. I had never even been tested for STD's before, so I had no idea what it was going to feel like. I decided right about then that I wasn't in to urethral play.
After laying my head back down from seeing that white stick coming out of my darker penis, he removed it. "Ahh," I thought,"that wasn't so bad." Then he put in the receiving tube. Didn't feel much there, but then Justin told me to take a deep breath. I had no idea that it was even coming. With this being two years back, I don't remember much of the pain, but I remember there was some. Wasn't too bad, but I wish I could have gone without it. I do remember that him putting in the jewelry was more painful than the needle. It was only a 10 gauge, so not too bad.
He told me I was a bleeder, so being the gentleman that he is, he wrapped it in tissue papers, put a glove on, taped me up, and had me go pay. Right about here is when I realized it was a bad idea not to eat anything all day before a piercing. He told me I looked pretty pale and that I should get a cup of ice or a free Icee. I turned around to grab a cup, and just like in the movie the Flash, the cup moved on me.
I passed out!
The next thing I remember was waking up on the floor with Justin putting ice packs on my neck and stomach, asking if I was alright. I was fine since I didn't hit anything on the way down, and Kari was very impressed because she claims he jumped over the counter to help me out after I had paid/passed out. I went on to my friend's house to show it, even though it was still bloody.
It bled for a few more hours, and quit after my first urination. Not very pleasant. It burned like I was peeing ice, and I screamed since I was outside, and I found out that if you scream while you pee, it comes out harder. No more blood after that, I was happy. I decided to go home and get some sleep before I flew out to SLC the next day. My sister came home from Fargo that night at 2 am, and walked in on me sleeping to show me my birthday gift. I threw the covers off, and she gasped, asking what happened. I looked down and there was a patch of blood about the size of my palm on my boxers. I told her what I did, showed her(we're very open), and she just laughed. I woke up the next day at 6 to fly out with a much bigger patch of dried blood this time, but that was the last time I bled.
For cleaning, it was simply sea salt soaks for however many weeks. I would simply take a hot bath beforehand to soak and clean any crusties off. I was scared at first, so it took me about a week until I finally slid the ring through. 2 years later, I have no pain at all from it, and am constantly stretching it. I even convinced my friend to get one.
Well, 2 years later, I finally have taken more and more steps to finish the project on my penis. Urination was very painful for about 1 week, so I'm holding off on the apadravyas for right now, but I've got a 5 rung ladder, 2 dydoes, and I've stretched my PA from what seems to me like a small 10ga to a sizable 6ga. If you are thinking about getting any mod done, I would say get a PA. The pain is worth it. People always want to see it if you want them to, or it could be your own dirty little secret. Plus, on a sidenote, it does enhance sex for both me and my partners.
As for Justin Marter at Micheal Jay's, he's the only piercer I will ever go to. He's very professional, nice, talks to you if you have any questions about anything, will help with jewelry selection, and makes sure you do fine if anything goes wrong. If you are in Bismarck, I highly recommend you go to Justin instead of any other place around Bismarck/Mandan.
