I had wanted to get a PA for about a year and a half now. The first time I saw a picture of one I was hooked. But due to my own fear, bashfulness, not having the money, and generally just being worried about what would happen I hadn't gotten one yet. Then I found BME and started to read about the procedure and after a year of reading most of my fear had gone away. Finally, over this past Christmas I decided I would get one. So I started to save up some money to get it done.

I had just gotten my tongue pierced in August, but since I am not usually in Davenport had no idea where to go in town. I had been talking to a friend in town about where she had gotten a piercing done, and although she just got her tongue done, she told me that scorpions den was clean and friendly, all that jazz. So I decided to go there.

I called down and found out when their piercer would be in and how much it would cost. I didn't set-up an appt. in case I chickened out. I went out to run some errands, and decided to drive past and see if I would turn into the parking lot. As it turns out I not only turned into the parking lot, but I got out and went inside. The guy behind the desk asked me what I wanted and I told him I wanted to get a piercing, and he asked me what and I said a PA. There were three or four others in the front room, and in typical Iowa fashion everyone started talking about that, and how it would hurt, etc, etc, etc. The funniest comment I heard as I was filing out the paperwork was one of the guys saying, "at least it isn't a fat chick's belly button." (Referring to the fact the piercer was a guy)

He came out and got me and took me into the room. He explained everything to me, showed me the tools, the jewelry, told me this would be the smallest I had ever seen my dick cause it knew what was coming, and apologized for how cold the room was (it was really cold, but then again it was freezing outside). We kind of shot the shit for a few minutes, and then finally it was time to do the deed.

He told me to drop my pants and jump up on the table. He went through everything he was going to do, and then began. The damn receiving tube was the worst part, worse than the needle. He marked where he was going to put the hole, and double checked everything to make sure it was right. If there is one thing I can say he was very good at making me comfortable. He told me he was getting ready to pierce it and so I kind of looked away and let him go. It hurt going through but then it was just a warm sensation, not really pain. He put the ring in, snapped the ball in place, and began cleaning me up. Unfortunately he didn't have a 10ga ring like I wanted, but since I didn't want to wait and lose my nerve I went with the 12ga he had. I am going to stretch it up as soon as I can.

He went through the aftercare, and everything, and then sent me on my way. I was so proud having this thing that no one knew about. I went home, and went to the bathroom for the first time, which was a procedure to unwrap and rewrap. Then I went to dinner with my folks. After dinner I noticed the spot of blood on the front of my jeans. I got home, went right to the bathroom, and looked down to find so much blood. That was the freakiest and worst part over everything. I rewrapped it all up with a fresh towel and put the rubber glove back on.

I only really had bleeding the first day and a little spotty bleeding for a couple more days. I would suggest wearing boxer briefs those first few days so that it doesn't move around very much. It was much batter to have it sit still and not bump into anything. I can't wait to show it off, and I am trying to convince my best friend to get one. It is fun to have this secret that no one really knows about...only three people know I have it, no one but me has seen it yet.

It's been three weeks and it has been not so much in pain, but more sore for the past week or so, but that is dying down with every day. I would highly reccomend this piercing, it is a damn good experience and I am sure I will have as much fun with it as I have had with my tongue ring. 0:-)
