A friend of mine had a Prince Albert for some time. I had often wondered what it would be like, though, other than that, I never put much thought into getting it myself. Since then I've seen it come up several times. Meeting someone and later finding out they had a 'cock piercing' was always an interesting experience. After the idea going through my head enough times and my girlfriend going away to school I thought that this was certainly the time to consider it.

So I set out to find out as much information as I could about this 'cock piercing.' I asked a few friends and none really knew what to tell me. So, I finally asked my friend with the piercing. He stared at me blankly for a few moments and then jumped out of his chair, clapped his hands, and with an excited look on his face told me I had to do this. Girls were excited at the mention of it, guys shuddered in fear, and I was spurred on by both of these. I mean, I'm no extreme guy, but the prospect of having a ring on the end of my penis was exciting.

I called my friend and asked for a recommendation as to where I should get this done; he debated a few and decided upon Ace and Eights. I dropped by and talked to the staff there; they were really helpful and informative. We ran through the procedure, the cost, and aftercare all for nothing. The procedure, though it sounds frightening wasn't so bad. Really, the worst part was pulling down your pants in front of a strange guy and have him stick things in your urethra. The pain literally only lasted a fraction of a second. I read on a lot of experiences and heard in other places that this was the most painful piercing a male could get. My nipple piercings were much worse. My nipple piercings were, however done by a girl with no prior piercing experience, on a toilet seat in her bathroom. I've heard stories; too, about guys doing PA's themselves. I really discourage any home piercings at all, but when it comes to something as important as the genitalia don't understand why anyone would be stupid enough to think that was a good idea. Getting back to the story, I scheduled the piercing and waited.

The day of I went down to Ace and Eights and met Kenny. We sat outside a while he explained the procedure further, drawing pictures on a napkin while smoking a cigarette out front of the store. He assured me had nothing to worry about. So we headed into the room. I pulled down my pants and he got out the surgical q-tips and anesthetic. He applied a topical anesthetic to the inside of my urethra, which may sound painful, but at its worst, it was a little uncomfortable. It was more of a slight burning sensation than anything else. If you can, go somewhere with an anesthetic, it really didn't hurt that bad. Kenny described it as taking 80% of the pain out of the picture. He lubricated the receiving tube and stuck it into my urethra, which I didn't feel. Afterward he pushed the tube down to make sure he was piercing in the right place, counted to three and it went through, just like that. Afterwards it didn't hurt and I only bled a little.

Other than sleeping on my back, the healing process was simple. All that was suggested was that I wash it whenever I shower with warm water and antibacterial soap. Seeing as the PA is right at the opening of the urethra the urine will act as rinsing it with a saline solution. This seemed too convenient and it really was. I'm not known to be the best for taking care of piercings; after all I had to have a rook cut out of my ear once b/c it was going gangrenous. This was just so simple, that I think you'd be hard pressed to have a complication due to not taking care of it. A lot of people talked about a lot of bleeding on other experiences and I just wanted to let you know that that is no necessarily the case. I bled a little after the piercing and for maybe three hours. After that the first two times I peed it had a redder tent to it. Since then I haven't bled at all, not even while getting erections, which other people seemed to suggest.

It's now been three weeks, everything's functioning well, and for me the sensation has increased. My girlfriend's pleased and it was quite evident the moment I saw the ring through my penis for the first time that I had made a wise decision. I'd recommend that everyone get a PA, maybe that's taking it too far. I'd still recommend it highly.
