I have a metal ring through my penis!
The above has been my favorite little aside with my friends over the past 24 hours. Most of the people I know, including myself, can't believe that I really got my PA. It's been a long time coming, but I never really believed that I would get up the nerve. Needless to say, I finally got the nerve, or possibly a momentary insanity, but either way, I did it!
To be honest, I say that I did it, but in reality there was very little that I had to do. I've been fascinated by the PA for years... I always knew that I would love to have one, but I didn't think that I'd be able to stand the pain. It was actually only recently that I even saw a PA in person, but I was hooked even more. Not only was it more stunning in person, but I'll have to admit that the pleasure it gives a sexual partner is pretty damn hot. I started doing some reading online, and talking to my friends- they all thought I was crazy. Hell, after reading online that it wasn't very painful, I thought all the authors were crazy. How could it NOT be painful to get a needle shoved through one of my favorite and most sensitive things?
Skip to yesterday at work... a very slow day, so I had plenty of time to pull up articles online. My friend came over asking about lunch, and jokingly I told her that I was going to get pierced, and that she was going to get pierced with me. To my surprise, she agreed, and before either of us had a chance to get second thoughts we were out the door and on the way downtown. On the way, I called up the studio and put my fears to rest by talking to the great guy working the counter- in meeting him face to face, I could tell that he knew what he was talking about, as he was a veritable work of art.
After discussing sizes, signing forms, and putting forth my money, I was finally taken back to the room to meet Allen. We had decided on an 8 gauge circular barbell, and he made his measurements and markings with care. I have to say that I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the shop, and the room was no different. After explaining that he was going to have to pierce a little further down than normal, since I was planning on stretching later, he got the receiving tube ready and went to work.
Now for anyone who doesn't believe any of the other stories (like me) the receiving tube is TRULY the worst part of the experience. I'm not big on having things inserted, at least not into *that* hole, so I just had to "bite the bullet", as my father would say. Once the tube was in place, an exhale, and it was done. Next thing I knew, there was a great barbell hanging off the end of my penis, and it looked great! I actually didn't bleed at all, but since I was going back to work, I got the glove treatment, just in case.
My friend went in, got her navel done, and we were back to work. I was somewhat nervous the first time I went to pee, and it took me a while to get the whole glove/gauze contraption off, and once I started to go, it only burned for a few seconds, with only a drop or two of blood. I managed to tuck myself in such a way so I wouldn't go flopping around, and went back to my desk. After the first time, I didn't have any burning or discomfort at all... I only really knew it was there when I moved in such a way that the ring tugged a little at the urethra.
It's been a little over 24 hours now, and I couldn't be happier. I went out dancing last night with no problems, and only seem to bleed a little when I get excited. I woke up with a morning hard-on, but the little bit of crust soaked right off. I'll admit that it is a bit disconcerting to see blood coming out of my penis, but I expect that to clear up very soon. All in all, I can't believe I waited so long, and I'm already anxious to start stretching. I hope that anyone else out there who is worried like I was will someday have as good an experience as I did... heck... if you can get pierced during lunch and go back to work, it can't be that bad at all!
