Well, I am into the third day with a ring in my penis.

My girlfriend then started planning a vacation with her mother and I thought I would get out of town for a little R and R myself. Finances being what they are I could find nothing in my price range I wanted to do so I decided I would do the unusual, get a PA.
I call around to a few shops and found two that would be open when I got off work and selected American Graffiti due to its close location to my house. After work I drove over and nervously walked in to my first tattoo/piercing studio. After signing a release form and telling them what I wanted I was asked to sit while the piercer finished his prior client and cleaned up. Shortly I was in the room.
I asked a few questions trying to hide my nervousness and not succeeding very well decided I would do it. A short prep time and within 20 minutes I had a 12 gauge ring in my penis. Dropping my pants in front of another guy for the purpose of having him stick a tube down your penis followed by a needle through it is a very strange felling. Adding to my discomfort at the situation was he had a blonde assistant assisting as his apprentice, she actually just watched. That made it more important that I be brave and not cry out as the deed was done. I had worried about the pain. Let me tell you, there was some, not anywhere near as much as I feared but more than I had hoped for. Very little blood was spilled and I drove my manual transmission car to the drug store to get after care supplies then home.
I was so scared of the first urination. I finally gathered the courage and then.....nothing. No pain. I was thrilled. I kept gauze on the piercing for the first 36 hours waiting for the bleeding that I had heard so much about, but it never came. A couple salt soaks a day and a couple of cleanings and so far no problems.
I went to work the next two days and nobody even noticed me walking funny. Due to the newness and the fact that my girlfriend is still out of town I have not tried it out yet, but it sure makes me feel good knowing it is there and it almost vibrates at times giving a great feeling where it counts most.
I would highly recommend this piercing to all who want it, go for it. I never felt inhibited by my piercer and he did the job professionally and quickly. I would like to get a larger ring in both gauge and diameter as it feels a little tight when I get an erection. And although I am quite straight I do have to admit that I love the look of that shinny piece of stainless steel in my penis.
I told my girlfriend on the phone and she cannot believe I actually went through with it. Since she hasn't seen it I think she half thinks I didn't really do it. I hope she enjoys it when she gets home and maybe I can talk her into a vertical hood piercing of her own.
Do lots of research before you do this, I looked around on the web at several sites and had a reasonable idea of what I was in for before I actually went in to that studio. Also do not let stereotypes dictate your action in this. It is private and only those you tell will ever know it is there. It truly is a great feeling to have finally have the courage to do this and if I had not let my conservative nature stop me I would have had it done years ago. DO it for yourself and for the women you might love.
