I don't remember when I realised that I wanted a PA, but I used to say to people that I don't understand how anyone could actually do it. I found the idea of going into a tattooist/piercer and getting my fella out terifying. I had no tattoos or piercings and the thought of piercing that, was too much...

I was now with a long term girlfriend who I thought would find the idea horrible. But the thought would not go away. I wanted a PA.
One day my girlfriend started saying that she'd like a tattoo. She asked if I'd want one. So I said no, but I'd like a PA. To my suprise, she said that I should get one. So I got the phone book out and phoned the next day.
The woman that answered told me that I needed to measure myself and that it would cost £50. I thought that was a bit much, but the other piercing shops around looked dirty or too busy that I decided to stick with them. I didn't like the idea of a shop full of people hearing me ask for one!
I didn't tell anyone, except my partner that I was going and decided to get it done whilst on a weeks holiday, in November 2001. I must have walked past the shop at least twenty times before I finally plucked up the courage to go in. There were two flights of stairs to go up, (which I thought might be a problem on the way down!) and I walked into a very clean, modern looking establishment. I'd always thought that the piercer would be male, but it turned out to be the woman I spoke to on the phone. This I found quite nice as I didn't like the idea of a man touching me anyway!
I told her the size that I needed. I had measured the distance from my "eye" to the underside of my helmet when erect to be 18.5mm. Lorraine said that she could use a 19mm,20mm or 22mm ring. I said twenty, as I didn't want to have a massive ring. She couldn't find one, so she wanted to use a 22mm one instead. I wanted a 19mm but she refused as she thought that I looked too big for that. Never one to refuse a compliment, I accepted.
I went into a seperate room, removed my trousers and shorts and lay down on the couch. After a short chat about allergic reactions etc. I was lubed with an anaesthetic gel. I had to choose which side of the web to go through, and I chose the right.
A brief wait and then she inserted the needle down my urethra. She asked if I could feel anything. I felt a painful scratch so said yes. More lube and a few minutes later, (it was rather odd talking to a woman I didn't know with my willy out!) she tried again. Some piercers use a tapered tube to avoid scratching, but Lorraine said she had better results without. This time I couldn't feel anything so she went ahead.
I have since read stories, where people say it doesn't hurt. Mine did. A lot. I don't think I screamed, but I certainly made a pained groan.
Once the needle was through, the pain was gone. She inserted the ring (2mm by 22mm) and put in the ball. I hadn't looked during the piercing and finally looked down to see the sad state of my willy. I think it was trying to hide and had some blood on it. Not too pretty.
Lorraine then put a condom on me, too stop me bleeding everywhere, told me what I needed to know about after care whilst I put on my trousers and paid.
As I left, there were two teenage girls waiting. I think they were more embarassed than me (they probably heard what I was saying as I left the room) but I was actually pleased that they knew. I had waited so long to get it done that I wanted to tell everyone! The stairs weren't a problem after all and I got in my car and drove home.
When I got home and took off the condom, I was bleeding a fair bit. A bit of dressing soon fixed that. I washed in salt water twice a day for a month. The first night I awoke in pain as I had an erection. I swear that I would have taken out my ring there and then had it not hurt so much to touch it.
It was difficult not using it for a fortnight. The first time I used it with my partner was a complete success. No pain for either of us, which was nice as I had heard that some girls find them uncomfortable.
Seven months later and I now have a 19mm by 2.4mm ring. It looks better when I'm flaccid but has a nice snug fit when erect. I've just bought a 19mm by 3.2mm ring that will go in soon.
I have recently found out that the hole continues to grow unless you take out the ring for a day or so every few weeks, which I have just started to do.
I was thoroughly happy with the service I received and recommend it to anyone. I love being circumcised and pierced.
I can't wait to get a digital camera to send in my pictures....
