I have never been "the type" of person to get pierced, or so people who just meet me believe. That being said, a week ago I started to think about getting something a little more serious than a frenum (which I had done a year ago). I was a little worried because I had heard that it was a lot more painful than the frenum. To psych myself up I started to read about it. After a lot of reading, which really only gave me some of the history of the PA (apparently it was used by the English to tie down their penises when tight pants were in fashion).

I was a little nervous going up to the desk, but knowing exactly what I wanted helped. It turned out that I was talking to the piercer when I booked my appointment. I wasn't sure if it helped that she was hot (and she was very cute) or if I might embarrass myself while she was getting ready. I was getting more and more worked up and starting to feel the adrenalin so it was a very good thing that my appointment wasn't scheduled for another hour. That gave me time to walk around and calm down.
When I found myself back in the studio (and after I paid and filled out the waiver) the piercer led me to the room she works from. She was very friendly and told me about all the cleaning and aftercare rules and then asked me if I had any questions. I did, I asked what guage she would be using (10) and if the ring in my frenum would get in the way (she said no) and if I could later get it upgraded into an apadravya, she said that no, the PA goes through the shaft right under the head (like the apadravya) but that it goes through off to the side of that 'line' of skin (the frenum)(she did mention that, though she'd never tried it, as a girl she wonders about the comfort of sex with a guy who has an padravya-saying that "there's only so much room").
Looking around the room I was impressed, she came in with all the standard stuff (new jewellery, new needles, autoclaved clamps) and she used 2 pairs of gloves and antibacterial rub. Then she told me to drop my pants and hop up onto the bench. It turns out that I didn't need to worry about anything 'standing to attention,' I guess the anticipation was too much and I almost looked like a eunuch. Fortunately she was nice enough not to comment and we chatted as she cleaned the area. When she picked up a (sterile) metal tube I did a double take, it was pretty big. It wasn't pleasant when she stuck the tube up my urethra, it stung, but only mildly and she said it was so the ring would go in easier after the piercing. It may have been the worst part, since the next thing I felt was a brief prick (no pun intended). At this point my piercer asked of I was OK? Since I was she slid the ring through which was uncomfortable but not as bad as the tube jammed up my urethra.
After the cleaning and the bandaging I paid and walked out. I'll admit that I shortened my normally long stride and that I had troubles with stairs and keeping up a clerk when she was showing me where saline solution was in the drug store, but sitting and standing was not a problem and as long as I kept it slow walking did not pose a hazard. After I had bused home I checked the bandage, it was so full of blood that it was falling off so I pulled it off and changed the dressing. This was a little disconcerting so I phoned the piercer and asked about it and was told not to worry. She said that it could bleed for a couple of days. Four hours later it has stopped and scabbed. I've already tried peeing with it and it does tingle but isn't actually painful.
I love having something that only I know about (for now) and can't wait until a couple girls get in on my new secret. All in all I'm happy with the way it looks (especially next to my frenum which even the piercer commented on) and it is not painful at all. I can only look forward to trying it out although it may be a while before mini-me decides to be ready for action. One final note-this one didn't hurt much more than the frenum.
