Ah where to start. I suppose I'll start by telling a little about myself. Im an 18 year old guy, who's pretty interested in body mods, but so far I had very little. Just my ears gauged to 12's, and I had my tongue pierced. That was about up until this point. Then I decided I need to get serious. I decided what I needed was a Prince Albert!
At A Glance Author KingGrak2 Contact KingGrak2@aol.com Artist Cameron (I think) Studio ACME Location Cincinnati, Ohio I spent a lot of time researching the piercing. The procedure, the proper aftercare, and I read other people's experiences with them. I even went as far as to find out how it got it's name. (Thank you BME for helping greatly with this!) So after researching it for a while, I finally worked up the courage to go and get it done. I decided I couldn't do it alone, so I had my friend Katie come with me.
The day finally came for me to get it done, so me and Katie drove to the shop I had originally wanted to get it done, but the owner said the person who does the piercings wasn't there. A little bummed, I decided to drive 30 minutes over to ACME in Cincinnati, Ohio. Boy am I glad I did! this is one of the best shops I've been to!
My friend walked in with me, and we browsed the jewlery for a little while, until the guy at the counter was done helping a customer. I think the guy could tell I was a little nervous, so he immediately started joking around with me, to make me feel more at ease. I started filling out the paperwork, and the apprentice was talking to me, and he asked if I had anything pierced besides my ears and my tongue, and when I told him no, he got this weird look on his face. Then the piercer came back, and told me to follow him. He sat me down in the typical dentist chair, and started to explain everything to me. He explained the aftercare, the procedure, and showed me all the autoclaved bags, an even showed me the arrows that change color when you know its sterile. I knew this guy was a professional, and took his work seriously, because every time after he touched something, he'd change gloves. After joking with me a little bit more, he asked if I was ready.
He just told me to unzip my fly, and said he could work it from there. He kept joking around with me, which really put me at ease. He marked the spot he was going to pierce, and asked if I liked the location. After I told him it looked good to me, he smiled and asked if i had anything pierced besides my ears and tongue, and when I said no, he smiled, laughed, and said "well, you're really going for the gold then by going south of the border so soon, huh?" This made me laugh, again, putting me at ease. He put some lube on the receiving tube, and started to slide it in...it didn't hurt at all. I though it was all a cake walk from here on out. I was right. He told me he was getting ready to pierce it, and to just keep relaxing, and breathing like I was. Then, I felt it. A quick poke and a sting, and that was it. it was all over. As soon as the needle came through, I was fine. He put some lube on the CBR, and slid it on through. Then, it was all over. He cleaned me up, and told me to put "Mighty Thor" away as he called it. He then went over the aftercare again, and asked if I had any questions, then led me back out front.
He gave me a sheet with aftercare on it, and a bag of sea salts, and I paid, and gave him a nice $20 tip. Since I was such a good kid, he even gave me some candy. :) That was about 7 hours ago, and things are going very nicely. When I first got in the shower, everything was very sore and tender, andi wasn't sure if I made the right decision. But after I washed off all the blood, and I looked at it in the mirror, I was damn sure I made the right decision. Once the blood was off of it, it was just a little tender, but I expected it to be so.
If anyone is thinking about getting a genital piercing, I highly recommend getting a PA. The procedure is very painless, and so far from what I can tell, healing is pretty easy. Also, if you're in the Cincinnati area, I highly recommend you stop by ACME. They're a great shop, it's very clean, very professional, and the guys there are just great guys all around. I hope this experience has helped someone in someway, and if you have any questions about it, feel free to e-mail me!
