A few months ago I was in the mens room at a local bar. One of the bar backs came in and I noticed that he was showing off a PA. I asked him where he got it, he said "A-1 Body Piercing", North of town.

I used the excuse of not getting a PA that, "I needed some vacation time to heal".
First stop. The First place I went to would do a PA. Didn't have a selection of jewerly that I liked... I Had in mind what I wanted. When I didn't see it I asked her if they had any 10 gage about so big around. She looked at me and said, "that is way to big to start out with". She went on to tell me the size that they start out with. 12 or 18 or somthing. Don't remember the stero speaker was in one ear and could not hear her at all.
She made a phone call and told me to go "A - 1 in Gladstone" other side of town.
Went down the street to the next place. They didn't have a piercer (funny the door didn't say anything about that) Next place's ad was best slection of jewerly in the city. From there whole slection they had only one 10 gage ring that was the right size. The guy seemd surprised, he said "Ohhh, Kayee; now where do you want it".
I said, "PA".
At this point I'm gettin' ready to ask the dude if I can buy the equipment here, and I'll do it my self. Thank the God/gods that I wasn't able to get a good feeling about doing my first piercing as a DIY.
Then the guy chimed in "I don't do that, goto 'A-1 Body Piercing' up noth in Gladstone.
OK, At this point I got the hint, I drove on to 'A-1 Body Piercing' in Gladstone. First I stoped at a bar and orderd a cramberry and soda.
Didn't want to be driveing all the way across Kansas City drunk (like every one else; some of the things I see people do; that'z another story). Play a few rounds of darts; Lost realy badly. Was surprised how bad I was shakeing.
Well off I went all the way across Kansas City to 'A-1 Body Piercing' in Gladstone.
I got there at about 2:30 the place was PACKED. Told the receptionst what I wanted. Had to do the paper work, there were 6 girls getting belly buttons, and one got her nose.
Ah, and about 3 inking stations were busy to.
When it was my turn Chris called my name, didn't anounce what I was getting as with the other customers. And took me in to the room. At this point the cranberry drink wanted out; I did not want to experence my first piss that soon after getting pierced. Told Chris that and I ran out and did my thing.
Came back in and he motion me back. He asked me what I knew about this piercing. I told him everything I knew from reading BME. He seemed impressed. He asked me what I knew about the after care of the piercing. I again told him everything from BME. He again was impressed and we started with the procedure.
He set up, and told me to go a head and drop my paints. I was ready and did it. Then I rlized that I hadn't pick out the jewerly. So I asked him, he showed me a 10 ga captive bead, and the perfect size.
Not small... larger. I layed back down and tried to relax. He asked me what I thought about placement. I said I think a bit to the right; I still have my frenum (next thing to get pierced -- look out guy). He said yea He marked me, and asked me to check his markings. Again Perfect!
He said. "Good. You don't know how meny guys come in here and say they want a PA. Then when I make my marks they come back and say `hey that isn't a pa`."
Looking back on this I can tell that the stress was realy getting to me I wish I would have asked him "So what do they think a PA is?"
Leand back and let him do his thing. 3 breths; the feeling of a bee sting (then went away un-like a bee sting) and some "stress" not pain at all, and it was done.
I went home and started forcing water down.
The time came for the first PA piss.
Thinking that I would be in a world of mindless pain from this experence I sat down. It took a long time... I was scared to piss. Well it came out (after a long time) and nothing. Have gone several times already; still pushin' the water through. Can do my thing standing up.
Now I rember the peeing standing up thing was another reason for not getting a PA. I "like" peein' standin'. Good thing I didn't rember it this morin'.
