To start things off, I should tell you that I do not get pierced unless a lot has gone on in my life. Life had been hectic; my job was looking like it was about to turn for the worst, and I was having some problems with my soon to be ex. I like to have my life heal along with my piercings. Anyway, I was talking to my good friend Yana, who was talking about retiring from piercing, as she was kinda just ready to move on with her career. I was trying to convince her to do a couple of last piercings, to go off on a good note. So, I finally talked her into piercing my PA.

The anticipation of my piercing was killing me, as this was new ground to be covered by me. Finally she was ready for the piercing. We went upstairs to go and do the piercing. We get up there, and she tells me to drop my drawers, and I did.
That was one COLD shop... She then made a few markings to get everything all sized up. Meanwhile, my heart was pumping a mile a minute. While all this was going on, she was telling me about the procedure. This served to calm my fears, and to let me know how things would go. One thing that kept running through my head was how professional Yana was. I had never understood how much experience she had had in the community.
So, to get back to where I was, She slid a swab with some lubricant down the tip, all the while coaching me through some breathing exercises. She let me compose myself, and then Yana brought out her needle. We went through the breathing exercises, and I felt a slight pinching sensation. The pain was around the same level as that of getting your nipples pierced. She then slid the ¾ inch 12 gauge curved barbell into the spear, and it was finished. For the first few minutes after, I was sitting there in the cold shop trying to compose myself to move. Piercings often make me a little dizzy.
As my head cleared and the room stopped moving, I was thinking that the one piercing was not enough, more was needed. I had been thinking about also piercing my Frenum for a while, so I asked Yana if she thought that my body could take another piercing. Yana asked me what I had in mind, and I told her. Next thing I knew, Yana was going downstairs to the jewelry cabinet to get a 12-gauge ½ inch barbell. She grabbed the barbell. Came back upstairs, made a couple of marks, grabbed her clamps, and another needle. Then next thing you know, my body wanted to fold in half as the needle went through. The second piercing always hurts a little bit more for me.
The pain factor was not that bad, but the actual shock to my body was rather significant. I was sitting in the chair with my pants down for about 15-20 minutes wondering if my stomach was going to play show-and-tell. Well, it did not and I made it safely out of the shop. Over the next few days, Yana kept on checking in on me and making sure that the piercings were healing correctly. Nothing was going wrong with the piercings. I kept them clean, made sure not to drink anything with sugar in it, so that I would not give bacteria any place to germinate, and generally just mothered them for a couple of weeks. One thing about piercings that I have noticed is that you don't realize how much comes into contact with any area until you get that area pierced. And with the piercings that I had just collected, I really realized this. My boss threw his keys at me, and I didn't catch them. I was doubled up on the floor for a little while. My girlfriends' kid ran up to me. His little fist hit the button, and I wanted to cry. One thing that I wish I had had during the healing period was a steel cup.
After the healing was done, I was very happy. I could pee sitting down once more, and I didn't have to worry about slight contact. The first time that I actually got to use the piercings was very intense. I didn't last long the first time, because the feeling in that area was magnified so much. Also pitting on a condom was rather awkward. Since then, I have put a shorter barbell in my Frenum and a 10-gauge ring in my PA. I found that the curved Barbell was rather uncomfortable. During the day, the barbell would slip up my urethra, as well as during intercourse. It helped stretch the piercing, but I would rather do that slowly.
All in all, they are fun piercings, and I have lost pretty much any fear that I had of needles. But beyond the holes, my Frenum and my PA mean much more to me than most other piercings. One, a good friend of mine ended her piercing career with my body. And two, it was kind of a rite of passage for me into a new stage of life.
