For those of you who have foreskin piercings and are curious about how they interact with PAs, please read.

I've had my foreskin pierced for about five years. I looked through BME for people's experiences of PAs and how they interact with foreskin piercings, I couldn't find any. What I did find was references to men with foreskins and PAs and how very little trouble occurs. With this in mind and a couple years of thought I decided it was time to get my PA.

In Adelaide, Australia there are few quality piercers. A real piercer in my opinion understand body modification and it's spiritual, aesthetic and cultural connections, not just the money that can be made from sticking holes in 16 year old girl's bellies... anyway... I found a wonderful piercer in Guy at Punktured, he inspired a lot of trust and confidence in me to let him do my Prince Albert. I was working on a film at the time and Guy willingly moved his schedule around to help me find a time that was good for me. Guy and I talked at length about possible complications with my foreskin piercing getting in the way, we couldn't foresee any.

The day arrived for me to get spiked. Having had a few other piercings done at Punktured by Michaela (who sadly left for overseas) I knew the hygiene and cleanliness of the place is excellent. I was lying down on the table-bench type thing with my pants around my ankles when Nicola (assisting Guy) applied some numbing gel down my urethra... boy did this tickle... I started squirming and yelping. She got a bit freaked out by me squirming so much that she couldn't do it so Guy finished the job ... OUCH!!!! Guy said he had never seen anyone squirm that much, boy did this inspire confidence ;-) We waited around for the gel to start taking effect after 15minutes or so it was time for the act. Guy took his time marking to get everything lined up properly.. in went the receiving tube... OUCH, the sort of pain where you

grit your teeth and hope you never have to deal with anything like it ever ever again. breathing ... 1 - 2 - 3 ... then bang in went the needle, WHOA! It hurt, but only for a couple of seconds and nothing like the uncomfortableness of having the gel or receiving tube

placed in my urethra. Guy was so impressed with the piercing he decided to take a few photos (he asked my permission obviously). There wasn't any pain or concern at this stage at all, I knew the worst was over. In went the lovely 10ga curved barbell and hey presto I had my new PA! A few more photos... ... ... then the blood started! I

bleed heavily for about 20minutes or so, but nothing the phased Guy, so I managed to remain calm. After it had settled down I pulled up my

pants, paid the man and walk out of the shop extremely pleased and happy.

Now the bleeding continued and soaked through my underwear and then through the shorts I was wearing. Thankfully they were black shorts. If you are going to get a PA done, wear dark clothing!

The first few days were fine. There was quite a bit of bleeding and

some uncomfortablness sleeping (through night-time erections) but nothing to worry. I was using my salt water baths and my PA was healing nicely. The urge to masturbate was too great, so I caved ("What a surprise!" I'm sure you are saying;-). Now so you know, my foreskin piercing is a 10ga barbell on the underside of my penis. When I'm having fun with myself it tends to slide along my frenum quite nicely. However, I didn't bet on it catching so easily on my PA. First off I thought it was the freshness of the PA that was causing the pain. After about 3 weeks I realised the balls on the barbells was catching the flesh in between them, basically it was banging straight into the fresh PA doing who knows what damage. Through BME's QOD, I was advised by the marvellous Monte to remove my foreskin piercing for a while to see if the PA settled. This it did... However what I noticed was the PA had developed some keloid scarring. I was

worried about this but eventually just relaxed as it was only minor.

A month or so passed and I found the area around the scarring was getting very sensitive. It was becoming painful to go to the loo (that's bathroom in the US;-). The way I was sleeping was having an effect on the piercing. I tend to sleep on my stomach and with the erections men get during sleep it was putting pressure on the barbell, my urethra and the actual piercing. I was still pretty pleased with my piercing and I so desperately wanted to keep it. However, things started adding up!

Occasionally the PA would twist with my foreskin barbell and this was

proving quite annoying and painful. Having fun with a "friend" while we were wearing clothing things became quite uncomfortable so much so I had to take them off (oops what a pity;-). When they came off it hurt her and wasn't doing much for me either. I got a Lorum done

(once again by Guy) it was such a easy and straight forward piercing that I was getting quite upset about my whole PA experience. So on the 31st of December 2000 I decided to take it out. After five minutes I knew I had made the correct decision. My whole groin felt more comfortable and at ease.

It's sad to see my PA go, it's the first of my 11 piercings I have had to take out, or felt necessary to remove. Oh well doesn't matter, just means I'll get my dydoes sooner! =)
