My PA adventure

Already having both ears, both nipples, and my tongue piercing, as well as having had my upper ear and eye brow pierced, I was ready for something new. I considered what I wanted to get for a long time, and for a while I was set on getting a Guiche piercing. However, being in college and all, I knew that taking care of it and making sure to clean it properly might be hard, and the long walks to class could end up being be a hinder on the healing process. I thus though about it some more, and I decided to go with a Prince Albert.

I?ve done some reading on the net (mainly people?s experiences here on BME as well as some technical writings) and a PA seemed like a good genital piercing to start with. The pain isn?t supposed to be that bad, the location is fairly good, and the fact that one?s urine is a disinfectant and helps clean the piercing made me decide that it was what I wanted. I thought about it some more, asked my ?little friend? if it was ok with him, and went in to the piercing shop.

I live in Ann Arbor, MI, and the place I get pierced is SC Tattoo. This place doesn?t look so impressive from the outside, but inside you get the best quality of service; a very professional, well informed, very experienced and talented piercer name Maggie. She definitely knows her stuff. I would trust her with my most intimate of spots, and so I did :)

I went in to the shop on Thursday afternoon. I talked with Maggie about my new idea and discussed with her all the issues involved in getting a PA. She told me about the location, the piercing itself, and the aftercare procedures before I even mentioned I?m ready to have it done... this is what I call a professional approach. She asked me a few details about my penis and I verified that the PA would work for me. The reason I say this is that I?m not circumcised and my penis at rest is much smaller than when it?s fully erect, so I was worried about the ring ripping into it during an erection because of the big size difference. She assured me that me not being circumcised is not a problem, and that the size difference is avoided by getting a ring that?s big enough for the erect penis. I felt safe now, and told her that I?m ready. After filling out the paperwork I was ready to go. Talk about a sudden rush of excitement.

We first went over to the glass displays to pick out a ring. I like simple Stainless Steel jewelry, so she showed me a 10 gauge and a 12 gauge, 3/4" CBR. She said that most people get the 12 gauge, but I didn?t like the way it looked.. sorta wussy I thought. I decided to go with the shiny 10 gauge CBR and she said it should be fine. We proceeded to go into the piercing room where she closed the curtain and told me to drop my pants and sit in the chair. Keep in mind that this whole time her student and assistant was in the room with us, getting ready to watch her first PA piercing (I guess she missed all others). I?m a 20 year old guy and so the idea of two women about to see the pride and happiness of what makes me a man was making me a bit nervous. I took a deep breath, dropped my pants, and sat in the chair. Both of the ladies were very professional the whole time, as they always are, so I started to relax after a while and soon I began to enjoy the whole experience.

After telling me what she would do, the piercer took a look at my penis to see what she would be dealing with. She mentioned that I have a lot of veins on the underside, and that she would have to pierce a little bit more off center than usual, but nothing drastically different. I said that it was ok and she took out the metal tube. This tube has a hole on the end and is inserted into the urethra, so that when the needle goes in from the bottom, it goes through the skin and into this tube, protecting the rest of the urethra from any jabs or damage. She spent the next 10 minutes or so (it felt like an hour) adjusting the metal tube inside my urethra exactly to her liking. This was very uncomfortable for me as my urethra is very sensitive and I felt a burning feeling the whole time. I understood that the proper positioning of this tube was vital to a proper piercing so I let her do what she had to, but I was counting the time until it was over. Finally, she was happy with the position and she reached over to get the needle.... let me tell you something. As much as I love to get pierced, seeing the sheer size of that thing made me a little nervous. I took a deep breath, and this is about where the adrenaline kicked in.

She told me to take a deep breath... I did... and in went the needle. I?m not going to tell you that it didn?t hurt.. it did.. but not a lot. I would say it hurt more than just an ear piercing, but less then the pain I felt when I got my nipples done. The pain was sharp in the beginning, but after about a minute or so, it started to already feel a bit better. I looked down at what she was doing, and this is about the time she put the ring through and told me to hang on while she bends it back in shape and puts the bead in. I felt pretty good, still on an intense adrenaline high, but I must say that the sight of my little friend just laying there, bleeding, started to make me feel a bit light headed. The piercer took some big pliers and bent the ring back into shape, slipped the ball in, wiped off some of the blood, and told me that I was done. I looked down again, smiled, and thanked her for my new hole.

All would have been great if this is where the excitement for the day ended.. but it didn?t. As I talked with Maggie a bit about some small questions I still had, I noticed that I was starting to feel a bit weird. I began to feel cold sweat starting to form all over my body, my vision began to get a bit funny, and my arms started to tingle. On top of all that I began to hear a high whistling noise and a feeling of nausea came over me quickly. Let me just tell you right now that even though I hate to get my blood taken and I always mark down that I might, I never actually blacked out or fainted before. What followed was a basic case of a blackout. My arms were tingling, my hearing was gone (replaced by a hiss), I was feeling like I was going to throw up, and all I could see was total darkness. I began to freak out a bit as this was a totally new experience.. and one that I didn?t plan on or expect. The assistant went out quickly to get me some orange juice which I gratefully accepted, and about 6 minutes later I stated to come around a bit. I was pouring sweat, and I was told that I got as pale as a wall. The whole thing was brought on by the sight of the blood, the weird feeling I had in my penis, as well as the fact that I didn?t have too much to eat before the procedure (a big stupid mistake on my behalf, something I overlooked from all the excitement of the procedure). About 10 minutes after I was back, I felt pretty confident to get up and finally put my pants back on. Maggie was very glad that I was feeling better, and I just want to say how glad I was that she stayed with me the whole time, making sure that I?m doing ok and helping me through the whole thing.

I put my pants back on, wiped the sweat from my face, walked outside the piercing room to pay for my newly acquired hole, and after a few final words I was back in the car, on my way home. The whole trip took about an hour and a half, about the time I was expecting.

When I got home I went into the bathroom right away to check up on what?s going on in my pants. There was some bleeding, as expected, but the burning in my urethra lessened a bit. However, I had to pee, and when I did, that brought on a whole new world of pain. Pretty much all that I expected, a burning feeling with every drop of bloody urine that came out. When I got up from the toilet (sitting down felt like the right thing to do), the bowl was pretty much bloody red. I got a bit freaked but my attention was drawn towards the drops of blood that were continuing to drip from the ring in my penis. I put the lid down and sat on it, while I soaked up the blood with some toilet paper. I bled for about a minute or so which, I thought, wasn?t so bad given what I have just got done.

The remainder of the day was pretty good, with each visit to the bathroom ending in some bleeding. Around 1 am I was ready to go to sleep, so I decided to take a shower. I expected things to be fairly uneventful, but when I started to bleed in the shower, I began to feel like I was going to pass out again. I turned the water to cool, and sat on the edge of the tub while taking deep breaths. This seemed to help and I was able to finish the shower, properly clean all piercings (especially the new one), and get into some night clothes. Right before I went to bed I went to the bathroom one more time, and this is where things turned for the worse. I?m not sure what I did, but after I got done peeing, I noticed that I was bleeding a lot more than before. I didn?t really panic, but I started to get a bit concerned after sitting in the bathroom for 10 minutes, and not noticing any decrease in the blood flow out of my urethra. I spent the next 50 minutes in the bathroom, trying desperately to stop the bleeding. I ended up laying down on the cold bathroom floor which calmed me down a bit, made me feel a bit less light headed, and finally started to clog the bleeding. When it finally stopped I was pretty worried that this was in some way my fault, and I wasn?t sure what to do. I was afraid that I?ll start bleeding during the night again, but I was so tired that I decided there is nothing I could do about it at that point. One thing I did do is tell myself, while already in bed, that the second I feel like I have to go pee again, I must get up, as a morning erection could prove very painful and will result in bleeding. I was surprised that this actually worked, and I ended up getting up 3 times during that night to go pee, something I have never done before in my life (I sleep like a rock).

The next day and the ones that followed were not nearly as scary. I did bleed for about 3 days or so, but each day the amount of bleeding would decrease, and finally by Monday I was pretty much sealed up. I still felt a bit uncomfortable with the piercings because it was bothering my urethra, causing an unpleasant burning feeling whenever I walked or moved around. I was worried that this would never go away, but within a week of the piercing, things were definitely improving.

It has now been exactly 3 weeks since my adventure, and the PA is doing great. I haven?t seen any blood in about 2 weeks, the pain in my urethra has been gone for about a one, and I must say that I don?t feel the piercing at all anymore. I have regained my sexual abilities, and I have to admit that my orgasms are a lot more intense than they ever were... a much appreciated bonus. I?m about half way through the healing period, and things couldn?t be better. I?m very happy that I got this done, and I would do it again in a flash, even when faced with some of the unpleasant things I had to go through. I would recommend this piercing to any guy that is interested in it. The pain is not that big, the healing period is pretty quick, the possibilities of infection with proper care are almost none.. not to mention that the resulting increase in sensitivity and pleasure is something anyone could appreciate.

I hope you enjoyed reading my experience, and good luck with yours.
