About two weeks ago after some careful consideration and lots of long chats with my girlfriend I decided to have my penis pierced. I've been interested in tattoos and body piercing for some time now and although I've had several tattoos, I've never had a piercing. My girlfriend had her tongue pierced a month or so beforehand and has had six piercings in the past, including both her nipples her naval, her lip and her labia. She was the one who suggested piercing to me. She was very keen on the idea of me having my penis pierced and she offered to come along with me for moral support (great, just what I need. I'm supposed to look really hard and matcho in front of her as I have a needle stuck in my joy department). I anticipated this however and had already thought of a reply. I told her that It was very private to me and that I'd rather go alone. She fell for it hook, line and sinker but she said that she'd follow me to the door however to make sure I didn't chicken out!.

Since this was my first piercing I was a little bit unused to the procedure and I thought that it was going to be agony. Some of my friends have had similar piercings and the picture they painted was not a rosy one. In fact I was quite apprehensive about the whole thing after talking to them about it.

The day arrived anyway and I went along to Biteback piercing and had a talk with Gerry (don't know his second name).He was really calm and friendly and we discussed the piercing over a nice cup of coffee. To be honest, I found it hard to concentrate on what he was saying but I managed to pick up the bit about the possible risks. I told him that I wanted to have my penis pierced and he suggested a number of suitable piercings including a prince Albert. I decided that this sounded like the piercing for me. He showed me some photos of piercings that he had done and then explained the general procedure. Then he asked me to pick the ring so I chose a 6ga ring.

I was surprised at the huge range of jewellery that was on offer. He then showed me into the studio where I sat on the chair. It reminded me a bit of being in the dentists chair as a child. Everything was very clean and the studio had nice pictures of whales and dolphins on the walls to make you feel comfortable.

It was then that I realised that I was shaking all over. I thought it was really cold in the room but maybe that was just the thought of the piercing. Gerry washed his hands and put on a pair of surgical gloves. My girlfriend had described exactly how her tongue was pierced so I was expecting it when Gerry showed me the needle.(it still looked really scary though).He cleaned the area and applied the clamp. I felt a bit strange letting him poke around down there with that needle in his hand but that gradually went away as I got a bit more confidence. I could feel the adrenaline rushing through my body. He told me to brace myself and just as I did, there was a sharp pain at the top of my penis followed by a tugging sensation. To bee honest It didn't feel as painful as I thought it would but it was initially quite a shock.

Gerry then reached for the ring which was layed out on the table next to him. When the ring was in place he secured the ball. He pulled the clamp away and I had a good look at it. Gerry explained that it would swell up and be quite tender for a few days and he told me how to look after it. I was told not to bath in soapy water and that I should clean it regularly. I was surprised at the lack of blood. There was a few drops at the bottom of my penis but I thought that it would bleed quite a lot. I pulled on my pants (very, very carefully) and thanked Gerry.

I went home and showed to Suzanne. She was really excited but I told her not to touch it. I kept a close eye on it that day and it gradually began to swell. The next morning it was quite sore (especially when urinating).The swelling lasted about 6 days and throughout this time I regularly cleaned it. After 6 days it began to become less and less swollen. I tried to have sex with it on the sixth night but I had to settle for oral sex, which was a little awkward but fun nonetheless.

Nearly two weeks on and it feels great (still a little tender though).I can tug on it and it doesn't hurt a bit. Suzanne was really pleased and suggested that I should have my nipples pierced. I love playing with her nipple rings and she says that they make her nipples a lot more tender. I'm still thinking about it. If I get the courage to do it, I'll let you know.
