I had my frenums pierced over a year ago. I chose to remove them because they were off-center a bit. I knew I would be happier if they were better. I waited a while before removing them, but eventually I did; around October, early November I think.

I had wanted to get them re-done around Christmas time; it wasn't really a priority though, so it was delayed numerous times. Then finally around late March, early April, I decided to get them re-done. I actually decided I wanted to get my frenums re-done and an apadravya, but more of that to come.

I knew who I wanted to do the piercings for me. I had met Suzanne here on IAM. She works in a shop called Jones Custom out in Vestal, NY. I go to school in Delhi, NY which is about an hour and fifteen minutes away from Vestal (right next to Binghamton). Suzanne had done two of my piercings so far, my napes. I believe that she is a very well educated piercer, and I trusted her.

I IM'd her on IAM and asked her about getting three 10 gauge frenums. We talked for a bit and decided on doing three 12 gauge frenums. There was some debate about the gauge, but we agreed on 12.

As I said before, I had put these piercings off for a while, so I started talking to her about it one day and I was driving out to get them a week later. During that week I was terrified of what was to come. I had seen her when we talked about it, and we discussed getting two frenums done and one apadravya. The frenums would be placed so that the top bar would sit in between the 4 scars from the old frenums that were removed and the apadravya would be placed so that the bottom hole would come out below my prince albert and above the top frenum scar.

So we planned on me visiting in a week to get the piercings done. That week was horrible, I was terrified. I knew that my frenums were going to hurt a little bit, but the apadravya made it worse. For most piercings, you can think that it may not hurt too much, that it won't be bad but this is a piercing going straight through my penis, through all of it. It's going to hurt!

A friend and I drove out to Vestal on April 19th. I was pretty damn nervous. We finally got there, the ride seemed to take for ever. We were listening to good music so that was nice. Suzanne got the room ready and I used the bathroom one last time.

I walked in and shut the door. We talked for a quick minute and then it was off with the pants. Well, not off completely, down around my ankles and I was lying on the table that she has there, it's sort of like a massage table I think, but that doesn't matter too much.

It was decided that she would mark, and measure for all three piercings, so that everything would be ready when it was needed. "Wonderful" I said.

She marked, measured, and got all the dots in place for my frenums. She said the piercings would be a half inch each, and she would use a bar that was slightly longer, 9/16" to be precise, incase any swelling were to occur. She asked if I wanted the bottom bead of the apadravya to be on the same side of my frenum or the opposite. I thought it would be best if the bead was on the same side so there wasn't as great a chance of my frenum getting pinched between the two beads. She measured the distance for the apadravya. Unfortunately the longest 12 gauge barbell that she currently had in stock was 3/4" and she did not feel like that would be long enough to accommodate for "swelling" id est, an erection. So the apadravya would have to wait.

I was extremely disappointed. I may not have been looking forward to getting it done, but I wanted to get it done then. She was going to be heading to the APP conference in about a week and she said she would try to buy a 12 gauge one inch barbell there. That would have to suffice.

Suzanne had all her supplies on her little tray, and had already cleaned the area with technicare. Unfortunately she had already cleaned my urethra with it as well, even though that no longer mattered. Oh well, that was over with, and I was squeaky clean.

She asked me if the marks were good, and I told her I trusted her judgment, and if she thought they were well placed, then they were good. I looked down and said "Wonderful." I had asked her to use clamps, because when I had them done previously no clamps were involved, so I was hoping the clamps might make it less painful. She was using a very small pair to try and keep them from pinching the scar tissue from the old piercings.

She massaged the tissue to break up the layers a bit, to make it easier. Then the clamp was on and she was ready to do the upper one. She told me to take a deep breath in and I knew she would pierce on the breath out. I had already been taking deep breaths, so I was ready... well, as ready as I would be.

She was ready to go, and I felt a sharp pain as she pushed the needle in. I cringed, groaned and cursed. "Fuck!" The needle was through now, and there was still a strong stinging pain. She followed the needle with a taper and the jewelry. The way she does piercings, at least the way I've seen is that she pierces with the needle, which is the same gauge as the jewelry. She has the jewelry screwed on to a taper, which is inserted into the back of the needle. This makes for quick and painless follow through. The funny thing about frenums is that even though they are pretty painful to get done, the pain is gone in about eight seconds.

The first had stopped hurting and she asked if I was ready for the next. I told her I was, and she got the clamp in position for the bottom frenum. I was taking deep breaths, and she told me when she was ready, and she pierced it. Again, I cringed, groaned and cursed. "Fuck!" She followed through with the jewelry just like she had last time.

It was over now. I was happy to have my frenums back, but very sad since I wasn't going to be getting the apadravya done yet. So I just laid back and hung out for a minute trying to relax.

I sat up, took a breath, then stood up and pulled my pants up. I was happy; it didn't hurt at all anymore. There was also no blood during the piercings so that was great. I reviewed the pictures my friend took and was ready to go. Suzanne cleaned up, and we left the room. We talked for a minute about the jewelry that she needed to order for us. She had to get me a surface bar for my neck and a barbell long enough for my apadravya.

We walked over to the counter, and she asked if I wanted to pay for all three piercings now, or if I just wanted to pay for the two that I had gotten. I said that I would pay for all three now because that would keep me from spending the money I had left over on something else, since it was all the money I had. Normally, she said it would cost $225 for three genital piercings in one session, but for me she dropped it to $160, since she knows I'm a poor college student.

So it was an awesome experience. Suzanne is my favorite piercer I think. I have three different piercers right now. I definitely think she is the best and I would suggest that if there are people in the Binghamton area looking for a piercer, go to Jones Custom.
