The scrotum is a delicate area to the male species. It houses everything (except the penis itself) needed to reproduce. It is a protective area covering the testicles. Since it is such an important part of the male body...why should it not be decorated!?

I currently got into a spat with my father about having to remove all my piercings...only he did not know that I had some non-visible piercings. God knows he does not know that, or I would not be writing this experience. From past experiences...you will know that I live in South Carolina, and that I come from a well respected, conservative family. Be that as it may...I do not see why body modification is a bad thing...IN ANY WAY. I live for it; it changes my life for the better.

Since I have to take out all of my visible piercings, I wanted to keep something more than just my Prince Albert. I needed a bit more décor in my nether region. I decided to receive a scrotal ladder.

My girlfriend iam: Carolynne and I went to Body Rites yesterday to have a scrotal ladder pierced upon me. I am a regular at Body Rites, and know the staff very well. Frank, Shannon, and Sarah are all great piercers and have been trained under the APP and are members of this organization.

When I walked in there was a huge line of teeny boppers receiving naval piercings. After waiting and talking to Frank, the owner, I told him what I wanted. Immediately Shannon, his wife and co-owner, jested that they do not do things like that at their shop...then laughed. Thinking I wanted a frenum ladder, they said that they had no barbells in stock in the right size. Then I corrected them and got the paper work underway.

I had no idea what to expect. The Prince Albert was nothing at all...neither was the septum. After the paperwork, I waited a bit and then was called back by Sarah Wooten, my piercer. She has pierced every piercing that I have ever had. You could say that I trust their advice more than my doctor.

Once back in the room, she had me remove my pants. She drew a couple of drawings to figure out what distance I wanted the rings spaced. We decided, and I was informed that they would use 10Ga 5/8" CBR's by Anatometal.

She marked, cleaned, and marked some more. We finally got it perfect, exactly where I wanted. After talking for a while she had me lay down on the table...without pants of course. After this she began to get ready talking to me about the APP and what it stands for, suspension, pulling, etc. This always eases my mind.

She stated that she would walk over to me with everything in her hand. I was nervous, extremely nervous.

She came over and placed the forceps around my scrotum. They did not hurt at all, as they never should. By this time she had changed gloves over 12 times and cleaned 4 times. She told me to focus on my breathing then said, "Everything is in place. I want you to take a deep breath in, let it out, and the piercing will be finished." So I did this and the first of three piercing was over. It was not too bad at all.

I waited for a couple of minutes for the next one. I breathed deeply and meditated. Then I took a deep breath in, out, and the second piercing was over. The second piercing was not all that horrible. I took a couple of minutes to myself, then did the same for the third. This was by far the worse.

The three piercings were not bad by any piercing means. They are sharp, like a lip piercing yet a bit thicker but not nearly as bad. The pain went away instantly.

Now came the jewelry. This was not bad at all, actually I barely felt it. After all this I laid down for another minute then I sat up holding my penis to it would not hit my ladder.

After I sat up I noticed that the top piercing was bleeding fairly well. I use the bmeshop.com Bleed Stop formula, and it works great. Sarah bandaged me up with some gauze to get me home without bleeding all over my shorts. It was a success.

Upon leaving, I payed and tipped her $20. It was $180 for my three piercings, jewelry (Anatometal), Carolynne's septum piercing and retainer, and tip. Not bad at all. I was ecstatic.

When I got home I noticed a couple spots of blood. I wrapped it up and put a panty liner into my underwear. I can't stress this enough...wear BRIEFS when you have this piercing done for support...it helps a lot.

All in all I would recommend this piercing for anyone. The aftercare is easy. I soak it at night with a sea salt solution of ¼ Teaspoon to 8 oz of water, and clean in the shower with Satin Soap Scrub. I have no pain afterwards...just a bit tender.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me. Also, if you are in the South Carolina area, use Body Rites because they are the best.

Thanks Shannon and BME for letting me share my experience!
