I'm laughing right now because the two scrotal piercings I just did are crooked just like my penis. A little joke my friends get a kick out of. . . but that's not important.

I have been planning to do my own piercings for about six months. I have collected cleaning and sterilizing materials, as well as a piercing needle, and forceps. As stated in my earlier submission to BME, I appreciate body art and the personal joy and reflection associated with piercings and tattoos. I have done some of my own tattoos with an exacto knife, and I'm ready to begin my own piercing adventures.

I already have one nipple, my navel, my eyebrow, and my ears pierced. My goal this evening was to pierce my other nipple, and my scrotum. I organized all the materials, set up my video camera, showered, shaved, cleaned, and prepared a comfortable seat in a well-lit area in my bathroom. I was very excited about the entire process. I put on some Portishead in the background to create a special atmoshere.

Unfortunately, the forceps I acquired are not suitable for a serious piercing. I had been waiting for a set of forceps from a surgeon friend, but they don't have the hole at the end that makes the piercing experience more efficient. After several attempts to get a satisfactory grip on my nipple with the forceps I gave up. I decided to wait until I received the piercing forceps I just ordered.

I move on to my scrotum. I move the video camera to a better position, and begin to find the best location for a piercing. Because I'm a bit nervous, I had to turn on a porno in order to get a full erection to make sure the location of the piercing is compatible with a boner. Good thing I did this my original location ended being mid-way on the underside of my shaft not where I want to begin a ladder. I marked a good spot, used a flashlight to shine through the skin where I want to pierce (making sure a main vein was not there). I used the needle-nose forceps I had to pinch the area I want to pierce. I have to pull on the skin above the forceps in order to get a clear area to work with.

The piercing is simple and painless. I'm so glad I used a real piercing needle instead of a make-shift sewing needle. It's extremely sharp and it has hollow ends to allow the ring to go through the new hole easily. I thought I would be able to push it through in one fast, clean motion. However, my hand just pushed slowly through allowing myself to feel the skin tearing as the needle went through. Cool.

I placed the barbell in the hole at the end of the needle, and slowly slid everything through. I chuckled because the barbell is crooked diagonal. How did that happen? I clearly marked both sides of the pinched skin and checked to make sure it would be straight. Oh well, I'll have to put another one next to it, at the same angle, in order to balance it out. But before I do that, I have to buy another barbell. Next time.

So, I'm looking at the barbell, and then I tell myself that I should do another piercing to begin a ladder. I didn't plan this well because I only have a barbell, and the o-ring I was planning to use on my nipple. I mark a spot about ½ inch below the new piercing, and begin the entire process again. This time, I'm making sure the marks will end up horizontally straight. I pinch the skin, and put the needle in my skin. This time I push the needle through a little bit slower again, making sure I absorb each second of the process- acknowledging the little bit of pain involved. However, it's just a little pinch.

Damn it! It's crooked again. I put the ring at the end of the needle, and slowly slide it through until the ring pops out. I may have made the piercing too deep. Half of the ring is under the skin. I hope it will turn out fine. I'm still laughing because now I have two crooked scrotal piercings. This just motivates me to plan to buy more barbells, and add about 3-4 more to my sack. I sure hope they're straight next time!

I've had the piercings in for about 5 hours now. Although they are crooked, it looks great. There is absolutely no pain at all. Barely even any discomfort. I'm sure that will change tomorrow or within the next week as the healing process begins. I can't believe I finally have genital piercings. I've been thinking about this for a long time. I know I appreciate what these piercings mean to me I just hope it doesn't scare off the ladies. Rock on.
