Okay, so the piercer I have gone to before doesn't like doing scrotum
piercing because he thinks they take too long to heal and he has had too many folks disappointed with the results. Add that to the fact that I find myself unemployed and it still want the twin hafada piercings and what am I to do. I think these are actually a bit too high to be hafada, but as by several definitions I found scrotum piercings are typically called hafada so I guess they are. Which I imagine you can guess by now I did have the piercings and I did them myself.

I have been thinking about getting them after I had the PA and stretched it to half inch gauge. I have a lot of jewelry that I accumulated while increasing the size of the PA and that combined with the fact I got to really liking the scrotal piercing I decided I needed a couple more holes in my body. I really though the PA would be my one and only piercing, but you all know how it is. One thing leads to another and you are wondering if the other piercing you saw on a website would really be as cool on you as it looked. And the more you thought about it the more you wanted to get it. That and I can be cheap, with all that jewelry I couldn't use in the PA or sell, I had to do something with it.

I like using a penis ring on occasion, but they tend to come off when you go flaccid so I figured the scrotal would also help hold the penis ring up. The PA at half inch pretty much killed the idea of a frenum and I like the penis ring at the root I decided I wanted the hafadas near the root of my penis. When my piercer said he didn't like doing them I decided I could do my own. I have cut myself so many times working on things I know I am not afraid of blood, so I figured I would give it a go.

I ordered the equipment and decided to go with a 8 gauge to start and could then stretch up from there. I initially thought 10, but decided with a couple month healing I would start larger to save time and go from there. I ordered the needles, two CBRs, a split forceps (which I figured would make threading the rings easier), and a receiving tube. I figured I would do it when my wife traveled on business and surprise her, but I knew I wanted it done so they would be healed enough for summer and swimming.

Wouldn't you know it, while I was waiting, the wife's travel tapered
off, so now I was trying to figure out when to do it. Then I got laid off, so that just enforced my reasoning to do it myself and made it a bit easier to pick a day to do it. But then my supplies came and I saw the size of the 8 gauge needles. Holy smokes it looked so much bigger than the 8 gauge circular barbells I had. And the CBRs weren't in sterile packs so I could have used my older ones. But the size of the opening of that needle, what the devil was I thinking? Then I got to looking at it and was the slant edge that made it look so huge. The second needle was the other way in the sterile pack and it didn't look as daunting. So now I had to work my nerve back up over that needle and also figure a day to do it.

I needed a day when I would have all day for it to heal up a bit and I
wanted a couple days after for good measure. Couldn't have them leaking in the middle of a job interview. Anyway, today worked out to be the day. I have done some dry runs with the forceps and placement but today was the real thing. Could I really stick a needle that big through my nut sack? I sterilized everything by boiling it or wiping everything down good with 90% alcohol and covered the counter I was going to work at with plastic wrap from the center of a roll. The counter is engineered stone so it is antibacterial anyway, but I wanted to make sure. I had everything set and decided it was now or never. I clamped the right side where I wanted and cleaned it off again with alcohol and since I couldn't find the corks I wanted I boiled some Styrofoam and then wrapped in plastic wrap (one cube
for each side) for an anvil. I knew from practice I couldn't use the
receiving tube. I checked the skin for major veins with a light I had
scrubbed with alcohol so all was a go. I hadn't opened the needle yet and knew I could still back off, but I had gone this for so it was now or never.

I opened the pack and took out the needle. I had a one use pillow of lube that I had cleaned with alcohol before opening and I put some of it on the needle. Now was the moment of truth, could I do it? I barely touched the needle to my skin between the forceps and a drop of blood welled up. Damn those things are sharp. I figured, okay, I drew blood so let's go. I put the needle back down and then pushed it through. It felt like it went all the through, but when I lifted it up to check it was hung up, so I had to push extra hard to get the back of the needle opening through and there it was. I was now self-pierced! Wow! I had the CBRs ready to go and put one on the needle only to realize I could not leave the forceps on and because it was so close to the needle I would have to open it up to slide over the skin as well. So I remove the forceps expecting a big blood flow, but there was only a little. So I used the CBR pliers to open the ring a bit more to get it over the skin and then put the ball back on it. Done, one more side!
I was actually a bit more nervous the second time and it is not exactly the placement I wanted, but close enough.

Yes, it is cool and I like the way they look. I am just wondering what my wife will say?
