I'll start by giving you a little bit of background information about myself, I live in Cardiff which is the Capital City of Wales, and just in case you didn't realise I'm Welsh and extremely proud of it. My job dictates that my appearance is to be smart so visible piercings are out of the question I'm not into visible piercings on me, I prefer to have more functional piercings rather than aesthetic ones. Not many people know that I am into piercings, I pretty much keep myself to myself, only a few select people know the real me!

The experience for my PA piercing is called Welsh PA. If you passed me by in the street my exterior appearance would in no way suggest what my clothes hide. I look like a 'normal' everyday 26-year-old person, but underneath I'm totally different.
I decided to it myself because I felt it was going to be fairly straightforward and reasonably painless. My decision was made more difficult as Cardiff has one of the best piercers around, a guy called Ed who owns and runs a piercing shop in Cardiff called Chrome, I know it's blatant plug but he really is the best there is! I have had piercings from other people but none with the quality and the reassurance of service that you get with Ed.
I am one of these people who check whether BME has been updated every day, I need my daily fix of BME!
Anyway back to the experience, whilst browsing the BME picture pages I came across scrotal piercings and thought that I could actually do those on myself! Having never pierced myself before I didn't know what to expect or even if I could do it.
So I went onto my usual website to order the supplies for the upcoming piercing, so I went onto Wildcat (www.wildcat.co.uk) and ordered 10 x 14gauge needles and 5 x 1.6mm rings, enough needles and jewellery for a couple of piercings just in case I feel like more afterwards! I also ordered a pair of sponge clamps and some anaesthetic spray seen as this was going to be my first piercing.
I waited the usual week and then the parcel arrived that I've been waiting for ever since I placed the order, I was busy the day and night that they arrived so it would have to wait until the next morning! I woke up in the morning and saw my girlfriend off to work, then went upstairs to plan.
It took a lot up psyching myself up to actually do it though, I applied the clamp and thought there isn't really any discomfort or anything so I thought I didn't need anaesthetic so I decided not to use it. I just touched the skin with the needle and still felt no pain. I gave the needle a quick push and through it went, much to my surprise it was totally painless and very sensual lets just say the endorphins made a bit of a sticky mess! I put the ring into the back of the needle and finished pushing the needle through with the ring in the back and still felt no pain. It took me a while to get the ball into the ring but once it was in I examined my handywork, it wasn't straight but nevertheless I was happy. I'm going to do more scrotal piercings on myself I'll wait until this one is healed first though!
It's been nearly 4 hours since I pierced myself and I still can't feel that it's there, I know it is but I'm not getting any pain at all. It's not very straight but nevertheless it looks good.
Two days after that I decided to pierce the base of my penis and put a barbell in as the first rung in my ladder! I plan to do at least 2 more once this one has healed as I think they look really cool. I hope one day that my dreams will come true and I'll get professional training to pierce people, but finances are tight at the moment!

Just a final note to Shannon and the others who run this superb site, keep it up, people like me rely on you to give me a dose of a drug called BME, I know this drug is highly addictive, but more importantly BME is vital to modern civilisation.
