I'm 19 years old and for the past 8 months I have been interested in obtaining some type of piercing. I spent about a month considering my choices (as I wanted this one to be special since it was my first). I finally decided to have a hafada done.

She called up Halo and made an appointment for 7:45pm. After meeting up with a friend who has obtained many piercings (including a 4 bar ladder down the back of his neck and a PA/hafada), we arrived. She filled out her paper work and then proceeded to have her tongue examined. She was told her tongue was to small to obtain a piercing in it. Since we still had the block of time, I decided to go ahead and get a hafada done.
I sat down, filled out the paperwork and met the person who would be doing my piercing. He was very professional I must say, he explained everything that was going to happen step by step and insisted that I ask any question I could possibly think of. He told me to just take my time and when I was ready to let him know.
I browsed the jewelry for a few minutes and proceeded to try to comfort my girlfriend (as she was very disappointed in not being able to get her tongue pierced). After about 10 minutes I told him I was ready. We went to the case so I could choose the type of jewelry I wanted. I choose a single 2-inch, 14-guage captive bead ring.
As I walked back into the studio where I would be pierced, I was surprised at how sterile Halo was. I was given a special wipe told to go to the bathroom and clean the area off and wash my hands. Once I got back into the studio I proceeded to watch my piercer double glove, put on a mask, and eye protection. I saw him open a new package that contained a small flashlight, a pen, and the jewelry. He then sterilized the area with some special type of gel and proceeded to see if the hafada could be successfully done.
My piercer first told me that I may not be able to get one because of all the vains I have, but he found an area right below the base of my penis where it was free of vains. He searched around a bit more, and found a few other places where the piercing would be possible. He marked the locations down with a pen and had me stand up to see how the piercing would hang. After I sat back down and had chosen where I wanted the hafada to be placed, He put the clamps on and used the flashlight and verified again that there were no vains in his way. Finally he opened a new needle and proceeded with the piercing. He explained everything he was doing through the entire process. He finally said, "I'm going to pierce the are now", and offered for me to watch. I decided to just lay back and take everything in. It took all of half a second for the needle to fully pass through my body. There was very little pain (no different then the initial prick from a shot in your arm), so little in fact , that after about 2 seconds, any pain I did have completely faded away.
At this point I felt very erotic in the sense that I am doing something taboo. I somewhat faded out and got lost in my own thoughts; I was extremely thrilled that I was having such a good experience. I felt no pain for the rest of the procedure.
My piercer pushed the jewelry through the needle, removed the needle, and then capped the ring. The area was sterilized once again and then I was able to get up and see what had been done. After a minute or so of admiring my new hafada, my piercer explained all the care I need to take in order to keep from getting infected and help against rejecting the piece. He then proceeded to sterilize the entire work area.
This was one of the nicer experiences in my life, and I will never forget it. I now have a beautiful centered hafada below the base of my shaft. I have now had the piercing for exactly 12 hours and have yet to experience any side effects or pain. The area felt a bit irritated after waking up, but this promptly proceeded to go away after walking around for 30 seconds or so.
Anyway, I would highly suggest this piercing to anyone that is unsure of what they would like for their first piercing. Its a very rewarding experience.
