At first let me introduce myself. My name is Alex, I am a twentynine years old software consultant and live in a small town in the southwestern part of Germany, next to the French border. My English is not very good so I beg your pardon for the mistakes I will make while writing this statement. The company I work for is specialized in software and consulting for the financial business, especially for banks. Doing consulting jobs for banks means that I have to wear very conservative clothes, black or dark blue suits, ties and things like that. It would be impossible for me to get a visible piercing.

I am interested in bodyart very much. In April 2000 I got my first piercing, a hafada, done at the "Freie Manufaktur I" at Hamburg, Germany (see my experience "My first piercing - a hafada").

I liked this piercing very much, but it grew out in the summer. :-( It was very strange to see the ring growing out. Day by day there was less skin. And one day at the shower the ring just fell out. :-(

"Never mind" I thougt, "Let's try it again!". I looked for several studios in the area were I live. But the hygienical standard was not very good there. But then in September I went to Hamburg again. I decided to go to the same studio again. Arriving there I asked for two new hafadas. I told the piercer that my first one grew out. The first one was a 14 g BCR. To protect against growing out I decided to get the new piercings done with 12 g BME. The piercer told me that she would clamp a little bit more skin for getting a deeper piercing as another protection against growing out.

So I went to the piercing room and put my trousers off. The piercing room at the Freie Manufaktur I looks very clean, just like an operation area at hospital. That's really good!

Again the piercing was done very fast, with a very high hygienical standard (as a volunteer paramedic at the Red Cross I know a lot about hygienical standards). But let me tell you some details:

At first the girl who did the piercings examined my scrotum to check if a hafada piercing would be possible (I knew it was possible as I have had one before). And yes, it would be possible. :-) After I had decided about the right places for the piercing she told me to lay down. Then she cleaned the hole area with "Octenisept" and clamped my scotum, the right side first. She told me to breath normally and so I did. And then she put the needle through - it hurt a little bit, but not very much. I am a blood donor and it really did not hurt much more than getting the needle into my arm when donating blood. Then she put the titanium ring in. After that she started on the other side. The same procedure again! But damn, this time it hurt much more! It was not really a nice feeling! I really do not know why the second one hurt much more than the first one.

But then I was allowed to get up and have a look at my new piercings. Wow, they really looked great. I really like them very much.

After doing her work the piercer told me to clean the new piercings with "Octenisept" and to use "Tyrosur", an antibiotical, in case of an infection.

Let me tell you about the healing. The piercing on the right side of my scrotum healed very well, the one on the left side got infected and it took 2 and a half months for the healing. I am quiet not sure why I had such big problems with it, but I think a possible reason is the fact that I wear my penis on the left side while wearing slips. Maybe because of that there was a little pressure on the piercing.

Now, about 3 months later, both piercings are healed. I really hope they will not grow out this time again.

As they are healed completely I went to the spa last week. It was really funny. At the area were I live not many people wear genital piercings. So lots of people looket at them. Some of them asked my questions about it. Others just told me that I am crazy. Well, maybe I am a little bit crazy, but why not? It is my life and my body - so why should I not be a little bit crazy?

I like the piercings very much. And i have plans for other genital piercings. Especially thinking about a Prince Albert sounds interessting. Well, let's see what the future will bring.
