At the age of 19 I had my first ever piercing. I did it myself using a sterilised needle and 14guage barbell that I purchased from the local piercing shop. One night after a few drinks with friends I finally came up with the courage to go through with it, and to my surprise was far less painful than expected. If fact it barley hurt at all. The alcohol obviously help with the courage and numbing of the pain. I placed it on the right side of my scrotum. I couldn't come to letting someone else do this to me, and didn't know how common it was. That thought has since changed. I did this piercing in the bathroom over the basin, and didn't even mark the area that I was piercing. I just place the needle on the entry point, placed a cork on the other side and pushed. The hard part was getting the barbell through, but with a bit of pushing and spilt blood, it went through. It look fantastic, I loved it, but I only kept it there for a few weeks. I still don't know why I took the thing out as it was healing well and without a problem, I kept it clean, it caused me no irritation or discomfort.

Three years later, I felt the need to have another piercing,. I have since found out that this piercing is called a Haffada, and is far more common than I first thought. This time I went to a have my peircing done by a professional piercer. (As I probably should have done for the first.) The piercer was very professional and made me feel very comfortable with dropping my pants in front of her. This time I had a ring positioned in the center of my scrotum just below my penis.

It was nearly a year before I had my next piecing done. I had been thinking about it for quite some time and after finding the BME site, I have seen and been wanting to make a ladder with a number of piercings. I went back to the same piercing shop, and recognised the piercer as that had done my first piercing. This time I had two done at the same time. I was told that normally she would only do one at a time but could see that I really wanted to have two done. It was six months later when I went back and had another two done. I now have five piercings in my scrotum which I really love and can't see myself taking them out for a long time. They feel fantastic when they are played with and my scrotum feels more sensitive. I would recommend them to any one, although I would not recommend doing it yourself. I wouldn't do it again as too many problems can arise.

It wasn't long before I had the itch again for another piercing, but decided to stay away for the genitals for a while. I had my left nipple piercing and a ring inserted. The pain from a needle going through my nipple was incredible, but as soon as the needle was through the pain started to go. After the experience with my other piercings, I was not ready for what it was like. The pain didn't last very long and was actually a rather exiting type of pain. That was now three months ago and has healed very well. My nipple was very sensitive and a bit sore for the first few days. I feels and looks great now.

My most recent piercing experience was last week. I went back to my usual piercer and got a PA with a 14guage ring. It looks GREAT. It bled a little more than my other piercings, although this has stopped and is progressing well. The first time I went to the toilet the burning feeling was incredible. I am keeping it clean and treat it regularly as advise by my piercer, and am hoping that it heals without any problems. I have not had any problems with the healing process of my piercings as I have looked after them and done what the piercer has advised me to do.

I now have ten piercings and am thinking of my next one. I will have to stay away from obvious ones as I work in an office and have rather conservative friends who to this day don't know of any of my below neck piercings. I may try another barbell in the right side of my scrotum. Over this time I have have also had three piercings in my ear lobes (2Left 1Right) although I don't wear them often.
