Al right, I've been thinking about it for a while and finally I went and got my scrotum pierced last Friday (Nov 5th). I think this is the most beautiful of all male piercings. especially when you start doing ladders or original designs with several rings ( i will be doing more soon). The timing was perfect because my friend Lisa is back piercing in the city. Lisa is great because where ever she ends up piercing, she always makes sure that everything is in tip top shape. Very clean, professional, kind and safe. She uses brand new needles (of course) and she often gives the autoclave a spore count test (everyone does not do this and just having an autoclave is not enough).

The timing of getting the piercing was perfect. My "girlfriend" (for lack of a better word) is away for three weeks so a piercing at this point in time would have a duel purpose. Since I am doing this alone it's sort of a reclaiming or renewing of my penis. And I'm sure she will love it so it is also a nice welcome home surprise.

So now on to the experience:

The whole day I could feel the adrenalin rush in anticipation of having a needle shoved through my scrotum. I was at work and could not wait until I took my lunch break.

The time came and I raced over to 8th street to see Lisa. I walked in the cute little shop and she said: "Well are you gonna do it?" I've know Lisa for years and she has heard me talk about doing this many times before and didn't think I would actually go through with it. "Yeah, let's do it." I said. She grabbed a 12 gage ring and we went into the back room where she prepped everything then said for me to drop 'em and asked where i wanted it. I showed her where (right at the base of the penis). She made the pen marks where the needle would go through then clamped me. Then, she took a flashlight and shined it through the clamp holes as an extra precaution to see through the skin and make sure the needle wasn't about to go through any veins and whatnot. Upon seeing that everything was fine and ready to go, she then said i had a choice to sit up and watch it happen or lie down. I really wanted to watch but since it was my first and I didn't know what to expect, I thought that I shouldn't take any chances and I decided to lie back.

She said, "Inhale" and I knew that on the exhale I would receive the feeling of a lifetime. The anticipation of the needle at this point was incredible. Then she said it "o.k. exhale". On the exhale she put the needle through and...I barely felt a thing! I couldn't believe it. Just a quick sting that's all. I couldn't believe it didn't live up to my expectations. It didn't even hurt as much as I would've liked it to. When she put the put the ring through I felt absolutely nothing. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love the piercing. I was just a little disappointed in not feeling the needle. At least I had the anticipation factor. that was incredible and in my opinion it's usually the best part (that and the many wonderful feelings and thoughts that you get after it is done).

When she was finished putting the ball on the ring I sat up and couldn't believe how cool it looked. Just looking down and seeing this piece of metal in my scrotum sent a whole new rush of adrenalin through my body. "well, you finally did it", she said. "Yup", I said, "I finally did it."

I went back to work and immediately told almost everyone what I had just done on my lunch break. And knowing me like they do they had no trouble believing it. Most of them wanted to see it but didn't quite know how to go about asking. It bled a little the rest of that day but not at all the following days. I've been trying to take a couple of showers a day washing it with ivory soap (The ever so popular anti-bacterial soaps freak me out. They're too powerful and have artificial colors. If you use a soap that is not perfumed or have dyes it should be fine).

Next time I will definitely watch to add another sense to the whole experience (I feel the rush already just thinking about next time). Can't wait.

If you're thinking of getting a genital piercing and want one that is virtually painless, then this is the one for you.

Have fun and enjoy.
