Frenum 30 years ago, scrotal today

I've had a self-done frenum for about 30 years (I'm in my sixties, by the way, but still lead an active sex life). I guess I must have been one of the earliest modern piercees. In those days, there was no way of locating purpose-made jewellery for piercings. Perhaps it DID exist, but self-pierced people, such as I, seemed to have no knowledge of it and two ordinary earring hoops had to serve. These had to be taken out during sex for there was always the fear of a hoop coming open and causing vaginal damage. It was only in the last year that I discovered BME and began to realise the possibilities of installing different jewellery. I located Steel Dreams Unlimited and there Doug explained to me what was available. He recommended a 2.5 ring to start with and this was later stretched up to take, first, a 3 mm barbell, then a 4 mm barbell. This I have replaced just today with a segmented 'flip over' loop, 4 mm gauge and 29 mm internal diameter. This fits neatly behind the coronal ridge, passing of course through the frenum piercing on the underside of the shaft and I love it.

While at Steel Dreams, talk got around to other genital piercings. A young girl customer, waiting for a nose stud, asked what I was having done. I suppose she was curious, given my obvious age ! I explained that I was there to collect and have fitted an 'upgrade' frenum loop to go right around my penis shaft. She clearly understood this particular type of piercing and its jewellery but was quite amazed when I told her that I'd had a frenum for 30 years ! She asked if I had any other piercings, genital or otherwise, and I told her no. But somehow, there and then, I decided to have a scrotal piercing done. Doug had other customers waiting so I sat for quite a while, thumbing through body art magazines (how some people manage at airport metal-detection gates I don't know !). Eventually, it was my turn to be pierced. Doug and I discussed placement and ring size. I wanted the piercing to be on the left side of my scrotum but not as high as the traditional hafada placement. Doug marked a place but I suggested that it went a bit further to the left, so it wouldn't be partially hidden by my penis; also, the ring would be less likely to clash against my newly-fitted frenum loop. Doug planned to pierce my scrotal sac at 2.5 mm, with the piercing entry and exit holes about 12 mm apart, and taking a titanium bead ring. He asked if I wanted him to use anaesthetic spray but I declined. I was determined that this was going to be an 'experience' - probably the last one of its kind for me - and that I wanted to be physically conscious of every sensation associated with it. Doug checked for veins in the sac then clamped a fold of skin so that both marks were lined up. He placed the needle against my scrotum and, without any further ado, pushed it suddenly through my flesh. There was barely any pain at all - just a very short, sharp sting; not as bad as getting a splinter in a finger ! I watched the whole (or should that be 'hole' ?)process. Doug withdrew the needle, leaving the plastic sleeve in place through the piercing, and removed the clamps. It looked quite weird, having something sticking right through a fold of my sac ! Doug snipped off the end of the plastic sleeve and applied a little of his own blend of healing oil, to lubricate it. He placed the ring in the end of the sleeve, gave it a quick push and there it was, inserted in the piercing, and the sleeve gone. He fitted the bead and now, after a 30 year gap, I have a second bit of metal housed in my genitals ! I dressed and went back into the waiting room and the same young girl gave me a knowing grin, obviously aware that I now had extra jewellery about my person ! She was so self-confident and forward that I was afraid for a second that she was going to ask me to whip my tackle out and give her a look ! Having paid and collected my aftercare sheet, I left for home. I was at once aware that there was something there, in my scrotum, but there was no pain or discomfort at all. It is now about five hours since the piercing and it is still comfortable and pain-free, though Doug has warned me that some swelling will inevitably occur, but the ring is of sufficient diameter to accommodate this. There had been some very slight bleeding by the time I arrived home - not enough to even mark my underwear and this had already stopped; the blood spot on the scrotal surface was soon washed away with antibacterial soap. I must say that the scrotal ring looks really great and goes well with the frenum loop. I also habitually wear a 45mm x 5mm cockring, which sits around the base of my shaft and scrotum and, for me, the three metal items make a pleasing ensemble. The only problem now is how to explain this new addition to my anatomy to my wife when she returns from holiday tomorrow ! She's become used to the frenum over the years but isn't really a fan of body piercing !!!
