I first had my guiche pierced at 2 occasion, but sonly realized that I couldn't manage to get it strait, at the right dept, or get 2 of them strait. So I looked around to get it pro. I also had in mind a project that would involve several techniques of piercing, to see and compared them. Putting the two together, I saw an opportunity to get my guiche done, and in different techniques. I talked about it with Efix, and opted to get a 4ga scalpel, a 6ga blade needle, and an 8ga cannula. The dermal punch was not considered has it would have been unsafe to perform.

I started to look around in order to get an 8ga cannula needle. After several weeks of research, I finally found a friend who could help me getting them. Meanwhile, I had an opportunity to get to Quebec. So I hoped to get the needle in time. As the date was getting closer, I was more and more worried not to get it in time. Finally the day arrived, but the needle didn't. I was about to drop the project but I was so psyched up, I couldn't just forget about it.
I got to Quebec psyching for my first genital pro piercing. I was more concern about dropping my pants than having sharps so close to my genitals. In fact it was my biggest concern. I spoke about it with Efix has he was the person that I was to deal with. He fully understood and helps me to get it strait. I spend the day at the studio, watching a scarification. It was very interesting, and helped me to think to something else. Slowly time was passing by, and it was about to be my turn.
I entered to room, as I didn't have the 8ga, I opted to get a 12ga cannula (I had brought a bag for Efix and Oli to try and see). Efix prepared his stuff up, and told me to undress. I was a bit shy, but he made me feel comfortable about it, and we proceeded. I took a few seconds to explain him more about the cannula.
He asked me how I wanted to proceed, I figured to do the biggest first, and move to the smaller, and it would be so small, I wouldn't feel it after the 4ga and 6ga. I chose to get the larger one the lowest one. So I lay down, nervous, but too far to back out. He marked my guiche, installed the clamps, and got the blade ready. I was quite nervous, and asked him to just cut the first layer of skin, it wasn't so bad, then he dove in a bit more, was not has bad as I figured. He did a third cut, reaching about half way, after a minute of hesitation on my side, he did the rest, it wasn't that bad, but I did only flinch on the upper part of my body. It felt like burning and terrible... I taught he still had the #11 blade in, but he told me it was done and he took off the clamps. It felt quite good. He inserted a taper, 8ga I think, to get the path, followed by a 4ga taper, and finally the jewelry. The feeling was comparable to an early stretch when the piercing is not completely healed.
He proceeded with the tri bevel blade needle. I asked him to go slowly. He poke the skin, and I was already a bit hesitant, he proposed to get it with the scalpel, but I was determined to go on with the experiment. He pushed about 3 times, and I was more able to stand still. My hesitation and pain came when the needle was about to exit, and the skin is tighten and white. It took me a good 2 to 3 minutes. Then he got half the bevel out. Another minute, he got the rest of the bevel, a real and literal pain in the ass. I twitch and knocked the barbell on the floor. At the same time I client got in to see him. So he got to put the jewelry unpacked in the autoclave, and went to see the client. I psyched myself for the last piercing. While thinking, I should have got it with the #11.
Third and final piercing; a mere 12 ga piercing done with a single bevel cannula. He installed the clamps for a third time, got the extra long cannula, and lined it up. I laid my legs flat on the foot holder, so he'd have a better reach. I taught it would be the easiest one, but I was wrong. In a motion he got halfway in. It was TERRIBLE!!! It was worst than the pain of the scalpel and 6ga Blade needle together. I told him I was feeling to take it out. But he knew how much I wanted to go trough with this. I took like 5 minutes to breath in and out, and he pushed it trough. I'm not sure if I told him to go or not, but my whole body flinch from the pain. I taught he had poke my tight with it, but the metal core of the cannula was already out.
Efix went to get the jewelry in the autoclave, and proceeded with the 2 insertions. He first did the cannula. Totally seamless, I didn't felt anything. He screwed the bead and it was over. It was the 6ga the final insertion, I asked if I could get 2 O-rings... but he disagreed with the idea (duh!). This insertion was probably the one I felt the most, (not considering the taper insertion). Efix took a picture for his portfolio and it was finally over.
Turned out that I strongly suggest the scalpel over needles. In the needles, get the most bevels you can get, unless you have a weird insertion, because if you can't do an insertion with a cannula, you don't deserve to be a piercer!
I put a paper towel in my pants, and dressed. I had a hard time getting my shoes on has it was sore, at first I figured it was my piercing (few days later I figures it was sore hips as I had to spread for about 45 minutes or so) I'm happy that I got trough this as this helped me out to know more about myself, about techniques, and on how to handle pain. I also think that Efix was glad to have tried the cannula has now he knows more on how these work, and how they can ease some piercing (he told me about Princess Albertina for example). This experience also helped me to get over my shyness. I'm also thinking about other genital mod as I know I can handle it!
But this is not the end yet. I took time to wait and compared how they heal.
First few days it was the scalpel that was bothering me but it's mostly because I was not used to have jewelry there as it was past 6 months that I didn't had any jewelry, and also the 10 mm bead were quite big! Bleeding happen for the first 24 hours. The scalpel was the one who bled the most, followed by the cannula, and the blade needle barely bled at all! The lymph was also mostly coming out of the 4ga piercing. But a female hygienic pad helped me to avoid staining my pants on the first few days. It took me about 4 days to walk properly has my hips got better.
On the fifth day, the 12ga barbell twisted around, and got stuck on the 6ga barbell. It was pinching and annoying. It looked like it was going to make the 12ga piercing crooked. I keep on cleaning it and to pull it back in place and I think it will turn out descent. Also, at a few occasion, the 4ga barbell created enough crusties to bond with my underwear, even if I sea salt soak twice a day! At a week of time, the only one still somewhat tender is the 6ga one. Maybe because it's between 2 piercing, yet it's the only one bothering me now.
On the second week I only had loads of crusties on the 4ga one and the 12 ga barbell kept on twisting around. I regret not having it done at 8ga since I believe the larger gauge would have stayed still as it's harder for a larger gauge to twist around. I think that it twits around because it might be a little crooked since I twitch hard time when I got that specific one done.
Right now I can't wait for the piercings to be 2 months old has I will get them to 2ga, 4ga, and 6ga. I just want to ensure that they are fully healed before starting to stretch. I'm wondering if the technique used will affect the
For the few recommendations I can give out to someone willing to get a guiche, go scalpel, at least 6ga, and get some hygienic pads for the first few days as it will avoid blood stain on your pants, and lymph bonding to your underwear! Also make sure you are feeling quite comfortable with your mod artist.
