I've had my guiche for several years, but I remember the torment of deciding whether or not to get it. About a year before I got my guiche I got a PA, the healing, blood and pain did not bother me. What I found out is that I bruised very easily from the ring being in so I could only wear the PA for a few days before I would bruise and have to take it out so I could heal. I saw several pictures of guiche's and really wanted to get one but didn't want to have the same bruising issue I have with the PA.

As many other have said in these articles, one day I just couldn't wait any longer and went into my favorite shop. After wandering around to see if the person that did my PA was around I noticed that he was.

I quickly made the appointment with him to do the piercing. He recommended a 10 gauge curved barbell. After getting everything paid for with the cashier he was ready, I was not but I was also too far to turn around. I went into the room and he told me every step that he was going to take. I was familiar with this because it is almost the same steps he used with the PA. Then he said ok, strip and get on the exam table, again because of the previous PA this was not too much of an issue. And take into consideration the room looks like a doctors office and I have striped there many times as well. He marked the spot then let me look at it; I had no idea what I was looking at or what I should suggest and went on where he placed the marks. Unlike other stories he did not use a clamp he grabbed the skin and told me to take a deep breath let it out take another let it out take another and in went the needle and out the other side. I didn't have time to yell, it was more like a whimper.

The jewelry went in I got dressed, and then sat down again because my piercer instructed me to do so. I bruise easily because I have thin blood and that also cause me to suffer shock easily. Thankfully my piercer was aware of what was happening to me and took care of me.

As of now it has been 4 or 5 years since that piercing, I have replaced the barbell with a CBR and a weighted piece hanging from the captured bead. It is the most incredibly feeling when I am walking around to have this little weight swinging between my legs I absolutely love it. I have never had a bit if trouble with the piercing, it healed fine and looks great, if you can't decide between a PA and a guiche my suggestion would be the guiche, it's not as obvious in the gym when you shower. It's like your own personal secret.

As I have stated, the guiche I have is about 4 to 5 years old and I have recently gotten the itch to get something else. So what do I get, most of the other piercing are for display and I so love my guiche because it's not for display. So the decision was easy, another guiche.

After talking to several people I found a new place closer to my home in Anoka, MN called Wingnut Tattoo & Piercing. Shane the guy that does the piercing came recommended. I found Shane to be a typical piercing professional. He's covered in piercing, all of which look very good on him. I asked if he did guiche piercing and without batting an eye he said of course we do, I ask if I could provide the jewelry and he said that would not be a problem either as long as it was the right gauge. So I made an appointment for the following week to come in and get the piercing done.

Well, I kept on reading about guiches and thinking about it so on the next day I swung by my house and picked up the jewelry and went back to see if it met with his approval. Shane was at the counter and immediately recognized me and said, your back couldn't wait a week could you. I didn't say anything and showed him the jewelry, he said, that will work perfectly I'll be ready in just a sec. I would like to say I didn't have this planned but really I did.

In five minutes he was calling my name from a room behind me. I entered this rather large room compared to my first experience and even more sterile that the first place, I was definitely impressed. And as far as Shane, he was great. He went behind a room separator and got all of the tools he needed then brought them out where he removed them from there sterile wrapper. He talked to me as though we were sitting at a bar and discussing the football game on TV. It really relaxed me for what was about to come.

He told me to undress from the waist down and get on the table with one leg hanging over the edge, and then it was back to the casual conversation. As he put the clamp on and marked the spot got the needle ready he said, ok you remember the drill? Well somewhat it had been 5 years. He said, well take a deep breath let it out do that 2 more times and on the 3rd on I'll push the pin through as you exhale. Ok deep breath exhale and again, then one more time and OH MY GAWD. I jerked but didn't make a sound, it hurt but wasn't as bad as I had though it was going to be, I could handle the pain once the initial insertion had been made. Hell biting my lip hurt more. In a matter of seconds I had my second guiche he said take a look at it. It looked great a curved barbell with a ball on each end, so all you see is the balls and the CBR right below it.

I'll post pictures soon.

I'd love to get another guiche, but I don't have anymore room so I'm not sure what I'll go with. But I do know I'll be getting another piercing.
