Just thought I would send in my latest experience in this wonderful world of steel.I have been a fairly late starter to piercing but have caught up quickly, I must admit its an enjoyable hobby and just keep wanting more. I have many piercings on my body and all have healed well except the navel, but trying for the 5th time now ! any advice on navels gladly welcome. I have decided that every piercing I have I want it done twice, maybe to keep the other one company I don't know. This is except for my on going scrotal ladder which will some day join up to the NEW one I have now.
At A Glance Author sundreamer Contact sundreamer@bme.anon When A month ago Artist self Studio home I really wanted one which was a bit different and in a different place to most, deciding on a guiche I set out to my usual female piercer only to be told she would not be happy to perform that one.
I don't think she was to keen on getting me in the right position and the area concerned, but was very polite as usual and professional about it. After a few calls to other local studios I seemed to get the same sort of answer. I then tried other places nationally having got the phone numbers from different tattoo and piercing magazines and think I got around a 20% yes rate. The best chance I had this year was working near High Wycombe when I found a shop by accident but every time I got the urge they could not fit me in. I personally need to be in the right mood for a piercing if that makes sense ? This left me a little in the dark as to the reasons it was'nt a very popular one to have done. I can only think its because of the position although there must be some risk obviously.
So after reading many self piercing experiences on bme I began to consider performing it myself. After many weeks and 'go for it' times mixed with 'too risky times' I decided what the hell !, buy the needle then see if that might encourage courage. It did on the night I received the 3 needles in the post.
I had decided on the position I wanted one quite a while ago whilst laying in bed night after night and feeling around as us men do. I knew I wanted it as far back as possible where it seemed to be more sensitive.
Bath time first I thought, this was turning into a kind of ritual but a necessary one in order to focus my mind on the task ahead. I put some nice oil in the running bath then undressed, looking at myself in the mirror I inspected all my current holes with rings in then got quite excited about the thought of another one coming soon. Laying up to my neck in nice warm water I thought I'd better do a bit of defuzzing around the area so with a steady hand and safety razor shaved my balls so to speak. How nice it feels to be hair free down there - what purpose does it serve anyway I've always wanted to know ??. After an hour or so I decided its time to go forward and go where no man has gone before ! well thats what I was thinking anyway.
Then I put on my warm dressing gown and went downstairs to my own piercing studio ! Standing in front of the mirror then bending down to find the spot I marked a horizontal and vertical line, after preparing all the necessary tools I was ready too go. I had opened a nice bottle of red the night before so had the last glass to calm the old nerves !
The clamps tingled for a while as more pressure was put on then after checking for any blood vessels with my trusty torch I touched the surface of skin with the needle. No pain yet! so increased the pressure gently until I felt a slight popping through one surface. Wow could'nt believe I was actually getting a guiche I thought. Then with a last firm push the tip was through then a bit more for the outer plastic sheath or is that whats called the cannula ?
Bingo! out with the needle then inserted the bcr and pulled it back through in one clean action. Hey I'd done it!
Standing up felt great and walking even better, what a wow when I saw it in the mirror.
Cannot wait to increase the weight now it is healing well - and as the song goes - What a feeling !!
Would definately recommend this one and will get another in time once things have calmed down a little down there !
