For quite some time, I had wanted a genital percing. Looking at the different examples, I thought the Guiche was pretty cool. So I read a few articles on the Guiche, most negative but I still wanted to get a genital piercing and this one seemed, to me, the least invasive. Still, others experiences were quite negative so I took some time before I had it done. They wrote about rejection, major crusties, and extreme pain. still I have little problems healing so this was the one for me. My girl friend said she would pay for it as a birthday present so I decided to go through with it on my 45th birthday.

Partly becasue I had been there before, but mostly because they are very clean. A man named fish used to do my piercings but he had recently moved so I felt that I should continue going where I have had success. Articles I had read stated that I should check about making an appointment, so I went in to check. Sure enough, there was no one at that store location that was able to do the procedure on that day and they suggested I check in Tempe. We did but the person needed was out of town. He would be at the Phoenix location that Saturday so we went home.
When I went in on Saturday, the man who could do the piercing was there. We discussed the preference over a horseshoe versus the captive ring, he felt there was less chance of infection with the horseshoe since it would be less apt to catch on clothing so that is what I decided to go with. I don't remember if it is a 10 or a 12 gauge but I think it is a 10 gauge.
I had also wanted the left nipple pierced too since the right one had been done 2 months before and I felt out of balance. He and I went to the room and preparation was done on the nipple first. Knowing how that would feel made it go a little better than the firs but it hurt. I even felt sick in my stomach. With that piercing done, I dropped my drawers preparing for a new experience. I was totally surprised on how it felt. The needle tube went in and it was a sharp pain that caused me to twitch but that was it. There was one other twinge of pain when the needle was removed but that was it. No sick feeling to the stomach, no residule pain either. The pain was gone the moment he was finished. In fact, I found my nipples hurt far worse than the Guiche. Far worse.
I drove home, walked a short distance for lunch but felt fine. I was a little sore, but it seemed to be on the inside of my legs, so I put on a pair of bike shorts and that helped.
Healing has been very easy. I go without underwear and nothing catches at all. The only trouble I am having; the balls on the horseshoe rub on the inside of my legs. When that happens, I wear the bike shorts for a day and the skin heals up right away. I keep the area clean with just plain soap showering once daily and washing the area with a hand clothe after work. I have had no problem with infection. Once in a while I get a short pain and I assume it is from crusties but I have never felt them with my hands while cleaning. You really can't look to see what is going on down there so I have learned to trust what I can feel with my fingers. One thing I learned to, to stay clean, is to "wipe" like a woman, forward to back. I had never known that men and women "wipe" differently until my exwife brought it up once so decided this is something I should do. I make sure no wastes touch the area, this helps to keep the area clean and I do keep the area clean.
I really love my Guiche and my girlfriend loves it too. She likes to rub it while we make love and that really feels good. We have kept knowledge of it fairly much to ourselves; we figure others don't need to know. If you knew our work situation, you would understand. In a few months, I may get another on going the other direction but that decision will be made later. But as for now, I really enjoy the way it feels rubbing against my jeans when I walk or while sitting. As for the sitting part, I do office work and I am seated most of the day. Again, I have had no problems there. As for the debate on what type of underwear one should use, I wear none and it has caused no problems. I need to be honest here, I do not exercise much so I have nothing to report on that issue. I can see that if I were a runner, I might have some major chaffing going on down there. I think that if I still rode my bike, I would really love the feeling because I loved the feel of the seat agains my groin.
If you are thinking about this piercing, go for it. What do you have to loose. A little tender for a day or so but other daily pains are worse that this. Any way, if you don't like it, you can always cop out and remove it. But trust me on this one, I never will never remove mine.
