8ga pain in the ass |
| ||||||||||||||||
Well, here it is. Possibly the biggest pain in the ass I've ever had...literally. The only reason I wanted a guiche in the first place was so that I could get a 4ga 1" CBB in it. I thought that would feel neat. Little did I know how much pain I would have to go through to get there. If you are thinking of getting this piercing, I strongly urge you to reconsider or at least wait a week after deciding to get it done. It is very hard to heal.It started as a complete joke. The shop I am loyal to has a front counter and friend of mine who joked about getting one just because the nature of this piercing is comical. When the piercer John dared me to get it done, I told him I would think about it. The more I did, the more intrigued I was. A month or so later I arrived over at my friend hX's house only to find out that we were going up to the shop after hours to redo his frenum which he (like myself) has had so much trouble with. John offered to do the piercing for free if I would pay for the jewelry. He had only don't one before and that was a few days prior to the night we did mine. He was interested in doing another I guess.
So the plan was to pierce at 10ga and taper to 8ga so as to cap off the bleeding. Then I started thinking about it and that seemed like a lot of pain to go through considering I had never done any scrotal piercings before. So I asked if there were any 8ga needles lying around and John got all excited cause he never gets to pierce anything at an 8ga, much less genital piercings.
After hX was done with his frenum (which turned out quite nice), we went back and he did his usual tray setup with one exception. He autoclaved his gloves. I had never seen this before but he told me that whenever he pierced himself or friends he always claved the gloves. If you can I would ask your piercer to so this as you have no idea where those gloves were before they were packed into the box. Makes you wonder what the people at the plant were doing with them doesn't it?
As this piercing is hard to mark, I had to strip down and get on all fours on top of the table. I wish someone had taken a picture right as he was marking me cause it would have been funny as hell. After a few times of re-marking we got it where I wanted it. It was a solid 9/16" wide. I took this one wide cause I wanted to stretch and I didn't think I would have enough tissue to do so if I had gotten it at say 3/8" or somewhere around there. Now, previous to this John had only done one guiche and he had pierced the guy the same as he had marked him; in the doggystyle position.
I really was not comfortable with this because if the pain was really intense I wasn't sure if I could keep from falling over or worse yet, jumping off the table and through the wall. So I told him to pull out the stirrups and let me hang my ass off the end of the table. This worked very well and he said something about how it was just like doing a clit hood.
Moment of truth (I hate this term but it seemed to work here :). Clamps were applied using a rubber band to hold them tight and they really didn't hurt this time as much as I thought they would. Breathe in deep...and out. I felt a slight sting and then what I can only describe as gunfire all through out my scrotum. I guess the bottom of the scrotum is just a bunch of layered, folded skin and when it went through. I felt and heard each layer get ripped open. Then it was through. Fuck that was weird! It was as uncomfortable as it was painful. I didn't even feel the jewelry exchange but when I stood up I felt dirty.
The ring hit the sides of my legs a little but it didn't hurt so much as make me want to walk bow-legged. John told me not to worry about the ring and that he would pay for it. He put a cork in the needle and sealed it in some plastic. He now carries the needle in his wallet and pulls it out to show people what we did. Yes he is that proud of the fact that he got to do an 8ga guiche.
Now for the bad news. For the first few weeks I could not walk straight. Crusties would build up on the ring and when my legs would hit it, they would jam the crusties back into the piercing almost putting me on the floor with pain. This happened three to ten times a day and the only thing that helped was to soak it. Then when I would soak it, the dead white blood cells and other shit would have plenty of room to work their way out making new crusties. On top of that, the salt seemed to irritate the shit out of the piercing. I eventually switched to an 8ga ¾" curved bar. This was a little better since it didn't have as much room to move around. I was not floored with pain as much but sleeping was something else. There is nothing more annoying that being in the middle of some nice soft, fuzzy dream and then being yanked back into the real world with a throbbing choad.
After it had migrated a bit, I put an 8ga half inch straight bar in and stole some balls from an old 10ga. That was a few days ago. I haven't even noticed it since than other that the itching when I wake up. It's trying to heal. It's not swollen anymore and since it is tight as hell, it can't get crusts jammed back into it. It has healed more in the last three days that it has previous to the straight bar. If you want this piercing, no matter what gauge your getting it at, demand a straight barbell with almost no play room. If the piercer tells you they don't advise this, tell them to read this story.
Now I soak only in warm water. Salt just aggravates it and makes it get inflamed. I also quit using soap for the same reason. Now I just let the shower wash off any dry matter and try not to squat down to far. Like I said, if you want it, please wait a while. Just really consider how much this could give you trouble. Thanks for reading and supporting good old BME.
P.S. I should also ad that Body Piercing by Nicole only uses autoclaved gloves in an effort to be more sterile.
