BMX guiche experiance (including stretching)

DAY 1 - The jewelery inserted fir this piercing was not the usual steel BCR, but instead a PTFE plastic barbell. Previously i had received the following piercings in this order;

2 ear shell, frenum, vertical frenum (self pierced, streched to 7mm), tongue, nipple, ampallang and tragus.

The reason i had doubts about the guiche was due to the healing period being enlongated by agitation. Being a keen BMXer i obviously didn't want to spent too long off my bike.

The idea was that the plastic barbell would be more flexible and catch less, hopefully reducing the healing period.

Went into my favourite piercing place, eagle tattoos in oxford, england and chris inserted the jewerly. As usual we chatted as he prepared the sterile equipment and then carried out the piercing. The pain was minimal and the clips pinched harder than the actual piercing hurt.

I cycled off home, with no problems, i just had to remember to sit down slower than usual.

DAY 2 - still no problems, just a little uncomfortable at times.

DAY 3 - Can feel the piercing starting to heal, there is no major discomfort unless i press on the actual piercing. While riding my bike I just need to remember to sit a little further back than before.

DAY 4 - same again no problems

DAY 5 - Felt okay, after sitting in a dodgy chair at work for an hour it felt a little agitated. Soaked the piercing in the bath, perfect.

DAY 6 - After reading some piercing FAQs decided to try to air the piercing more to speed up healing. Rode some ramps and rode street for 3 hours, piercing was okay. Sat in salt water for 5 minutes before going to bed.

DAY 7 - Today the piercing felt a bit sticky at first but felt great over the day. The salt bath seemed to work well as i had no problems at work sitting down.

DAY 8 - started giving the piercing a salt bath.

DAY 9 - Piercing gave me no trouble at the queens of the stoneage gig that night.

DAY 10 - in the morning the piercing felt a little sore. Piercing gave me no trouble at an all day gig.

DAY 11 - Again no trouble

DAY 12 - Nothing to report

DAY 13 - Received my 2.4mm and 3.2mm barbells in the post from WIldcat (UK) today. Dedcided to STRETCH the piercing. Although this is definatly premature I couldn't resist it. Using a tapered insertion pin I was able to stretch the piercing with ease. After cleaning the area with anti-bacterial soap and bathing it in warm water I began the stretching. I had spent a long time on the internet checking out approved methods, etc. and heavily lubricated my jewelry with a waterbased sex lube. Insertion of the pin was not difficult, the hardest thing was getting the angle right to avoid spearing the sidewall of the piercing. Once the taper had been pushed in until it felt a little tight I waited a minute to allow the skin to get used to the pin and to relax. With a slow twisting motion I followed through until the pin was 80% through the piercing. Then I placed the 2.4mm barbell into the dip in the end of the piercing and completed the changeover. by laying down I was able to get an easier grip on the jewelry to tighten the barbell ends and secured the piercing. A quick clean in the shower and off to work!

DAY 14 - Piercing gave me no trouble today at all, not at work sitting, at work standing or when rideing for 2 hours that evening. IT just looks a little red at the entry/ exit of the jewelry, to be expected.... no evidence of discharge either.

DAY 15-16 - no problems at all, piercing felt fine, the only trouble is resisting stretching too soon, as this may leads to a thinner ridege of skin, reducing the potential to stretch to a larger size.

DAY 17 - That evening, after a 2 hour street riding session I was unable to resist stretching the piercing again, against my better judgement i undid the 2.4mm barbell and inserted the heavily lubricated 3.2mm barbell. This proved easier than the first stretch and was quickly completed, the only pain was when pushing the end of the barbell through the opening out of the piercing. Piercing currently feels fine.

DAY 18 - as expected piercing is slightly sore, as before but is happy. I am pleased with my rapid progress but now shall leave it at least 3 weeks before stretching the piercing any further. AS you can tell from all the above that this piercing doesn't need to affect your bike riding, even if you are into stunt riding. The stretching of this piercing can be very satisfying and easy if carried out with care and patience. Being used to piercing and heavily researching this the stretching was trouble free and shall progress to 10mm over a longer period of time. I would recommend the following to any male receiving this piercing;

have it pierced with a barbell not a BCR

soak it each night and morning in a light salt water bath

stretch when you feel happy but be patient to avoid injury.

Enjoy your riding during this period, just be careful how quickly you sit down!!!

update, a week later still no problems
